Analysis of admittedly only 3 games support what I think we are all feeling. We are still a good side and, although less flashy under Koeman, we may in fact be an even better side than last season. I have a lot of confidence in Ron, whereas I had a few doubts over Mauricio's managerial nous sometimes. We have to show some patience, but I am excited about this season...which I didn't think I'd be able to say when the exodus happened.

Poch has a formula for football. It is a way he feels the game should be played. When played well, he felt it would work against any opponent playing any system. However, we aren't Barcelona - so it didn't. He didn't have a plan B as he didn't think we needed one. Ron is different. He looks at teams and tries to work out how to beat them. He does adapt.

Which is better? Well, in the short term, Poch has revolutionised the Premier League (or ridden a revolution the BPL had missed). However, what does he do when teams work him out? I'm not sure he is as capable of changing as Ron is. Maybe he'll learn and become the greatest manager of our era. It's possible. Right now though, I think we're better off with the Dutchman.
