    Just an update on the stats from the last dire positition.

    The table was started at the beginning of Delboy’s Red Honeymoon,
    And shows the catastrophic nosedive of Buckles Blues.
    And of course both Reds & Blues have just lost to bottom of the league table teams.

    The figures in brackets show the starting positions.

    Over the years promotion and relegation positions have been roughly consistent with the average number of points per game over the whole season as follows;

    Number of games played = same number of points (46) is borderline for relegation.
    One and a half points per game (69) is borderline for the play offs.
    One and a quarter points per game is the lower part of no man’s land.

    So the tables below show the desperate prediction for the rest of the season if the average points shown per game shown can be maintained for the remainder of the season.

    There have been exceptions to the above rule. Someone went down a few years ago on about 55 points.
