"Tal Ben Haim is close to reaching a deal with Portsmouth and signing for Hapoel Tel Aviv on a season-long loan. The defender, who earns £36,000 a week plus £1m-a-year image rights, is talking to administrator Trevor Birch". Above news reported on the Mail Online site this evening. Could it be true ? Could it ?! Please to God, let it be, for the sake of PFC, and it's supporters.
Flippin 'eck - on loan!!!!!!!!!! You mean we still won't be rid of him? Although he only has 1 year left on his contract so that should see it out. Would be the best for all concerned. Wonder if we get a loan fee for him?
On loan also implies that you would still be paying some part of his wages. Very basic article written there...
I'll happily drive him to the airport, to make absolutely certain that he catches the plane, with a one way ticket.......
It's confirmed - Tal blinked first And we should find out if LL is going or staying later today. The Kanu spat isn't a hold up so by tomorrow we ought to know who will own the club.
Ben Haim "agreed to leave Pompey" - reported in the News: http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/ben-haim-agrees-to-leave-pompey-1-4142893 Trevor Birch has now said he will push on with talks with Chainrai and Portpin for the takeover. He has also said that an announcement about Liam Lawrence's future will be made later today.
Apparently (according to Neil Allen at the News) TBHs contract has been cancelled so he is now a free agent. Also seems that the PST bid is dead in the water - shame.
Confirmation from the beeb, he's left! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19192252 On here it just says he has terminated his contract and left the club, without agreeing to join another club ..
They did pay him but agreed a compromise on how much he would get. So he got paid off - but is now owed nothing more
I wonder if, in this agreement, there is some clause, that reads, should Pompey ever become successful and rich (your choice of outburst at this juncture) we have to give him some, or all of it back?
