I will be coming over for QPR vs Chelsea match and will go with a mate (QPR supporter) and a 12 and a half year old nephew (who happens to be a Chelsea fan! I know, the shame). We will be in the lower end of the loft. My question, should he definitely not wear a Chelsea scarf or shirt or will he be fine so long as he stays quiet? I am thinking the former but would love to have people's opinions, BTW thanks to all for all the interesting posts on here Finally, I am based in France and have asked alot about Mbia: all the French football fans I know cannot speak highly enough of him as a central defender. Welcome, Paris. I would strongly advise against wearing Chelsea colors in the Lower Loft, even though it's a family area, it's also meant to be QPR only- he may not be allowed in. Hopefully he won't have anything to cheer about, so won't attract attention by jumping up at the wrong time. perhaps we will have the sweetest possible kind of convert on our hands by the end of the match.....
Paris, as a season ticket holder who sits in the Lower Loft I wouldn't advise you not to bring your Nephew but I would advise extreme caution. I have brought family members into that area on a few occasions who were supporting our opposition but two things, 1. they kept their mouths shut and did not cheer if their team scored and 2. they definetely did not wear any colours. The Lower Loft is now the family area but it was previously the members only area and because of that, the people who sit there are very territorial. Be very careful and definetely no Chelsea colours or cheering for them. I know a 12 year old is slightly different to an adult but they wouldn't take kindly to a lad wearing a Chelsea scarf or shirt beside them. I hope that helps.
Thanks all, That's exactly what I imagined and we will have no problem with that. I agree that with 2 weeks for all the new recruits training together I am hoping Chelsea fans will have a lot less to shout about than us. I really hope we get in their faces and can get a goal up and then let the 12th man play his part like last year! I hope the new players are being told the importance of this fixture? I guess Derry and mackie and Hill are working on that! COYRS!

Make sure he is wearing ear plugs because there is bound to be some choice words coming from their centre half. Come to think of it I am sure he will be on the receiving end from our fans so a double reason for the plugs. I cannot believe this has not been sorted out yet. It is an invitation for for trouble.
Poor kid growing up supporting Chelsea? Just tell him most of the fans are plastic and are Roman's bas#### fans with no history. And they forget about the 16K gates they used to get, or that they now sneak into Loftus Rd and sneak out again. Failing that just tell him that Peter osgood was a muppet
No colours as at all and try to make him not celebrate if they score or there could be a bit of hassle probably towards you rather than the kid. An opposing fan will be tolerated but only if they are respectful.

As an outsider looking in, I must say I've always found the QPR fans to be very reasonable and not violent to away fans. However it would seem like a bit of a smack in the face for somebody to sit among them wearing the opposition team colours. You'll need to exercise caution and common sense.
