update from 10:11 Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew will hold showdown talks with Jose Enrique over his long-term future amid continued speculation linking the unsettled Spanish left-back with Liverpool and Arsenal
    read more at goal.com

Dont know how accurate goal.com actually is but with today being the first day of pre season one of the main objectives will be to try and draw a conclusion to this saga

Although it still remains quite unlikely hopefully we will see him lining up at SJP in August...against Le Arse.

Goal.com are not exactly reliable but this was always gonna be the case and I'm afraid Jose will say no anyway.

If that is the case Ashley will probly start stoking the fires of Liverpool and Arsenal to start a bidding war!
I hope to god he doesn't end up playing the mackems first game of the season.

I just want it to be sorted out., either he leaves and gives us time to find a replacement, or he commits himself to the team.

I can see why it hasn't been sorted during the players holiday period, he's well within his rights to do with his free time what he pleases. If he wants to have a complete break away from the club then that's his choice. BUT, now he's back for pre-season the club are in charge again and entitled to a firm answer one way or another. Hopefully he sees we have the potential to move forward and stay.
