i think a lot of us are a wee bit worried about *manager* + D.O.F. due to past problems. my own take on those days are that the club was all but bled dry by some greedy feckers who looked after themselves, then some agents before the club...still cannot understand how certain ones still managed a bumper pay off...and were happy to take advantage of an absentee chairman, many reports about players that managers wanted and asked for not passing medicals but 3rd and 4th choice players breezing into the squad seem to back this up, i also firmly believe that it could explain the 'something is just not right at this club' that some managers alluded to. hopefully, those days are going to be behind us now, new owners all working towards improving the club, all on the same page...the leeches have long gone as are the days of expecting 6 figure pay-outs, the only way they will make any money now is if the club goes on to the premier league, as with everything, get the foundations in place and build with quality materials, well i think the foundations are there with the academy and stadium so now to start adding quality materials.
Just to reiterate Donald is a sleeping shareholder once this takeover is announced.. I don't know what Methvens role will be.
That would definitely be the wrong way to do it. Can't remember which one of the ITK's (Prehab, I think) mentioned that they had got 2 candidates in mind for Sporting Director. So I think this appointment will happen first, if it hasn't already, followed by the managerial appointment and other coaching roles. From what Wheatsheaf is saying, other positions will be filled later.
Crap football, loads of defeats, same as ever. Seem to lose heart after the 8-0, didn't he have a rant at the fans, about us wanting attacking football? Pos after the Bradford debacle? Then villa at home, then goodbye gus.
He played dreadful ineffective football that had fans leaving and us being beaten, hammered really, by our relegation rivals. Oh well. Maybe he has learned you need to pass the ball forwards to score.
Sounds as though KLD and Sartori will be staying in the background, so likely Rodwell and the new Sporting Director will be running the show. Not that I'd be shedding a tear if that twat Rodwell got the push too
Massive shock to see that Chris Weatherspoon on twitter being as negative as its possible to be about all this He just needs to **** SD and get it out of his system like
he seems adamant this is all a sham and is using James Hunter’s guesswork about who is leading the search as “proof”. I really like Chris, and I think his scepticism is important. The issue is the lack of balance - jumping on something like this as “proof” just reduces the credibility of his argument massively.
our new DoF could be in that role with another club at present, and maybe he has until the end of the month/year to complete his obligations, or hand over to his successor. As long as he's involved with our decisions remotely for now, that sounds ok to me.
All he cares about is it hopefully all turning to **** so he can get on his little soap box and shout "look at me. i told you so" Pathetic. Half the stuff he says is just made up in his own head
He’s got a proper hard on for just lambasting anything to do with the take over and new manager. Nothing will change till they’ve totally gone. He’s gonna get very boring very quickly if this all works out for the best
Wise Men Say now jumping on the negative vibe bandwagon because they think Rodwell is picking the manager. Almost wishing it all to fall through just so they can say 'told ya so'. How about just wait and see what is announced?
