......are we living on a false dawn, compared with last year are we really living a false dawn,I'm a massive fan of Delboy but no dominant central defender,no fox in the box,Cisse most likely gone, our new players are great, the team spirit is great, the management is great but we still at times have lost control, panicked in defence and failed to put away chances in our pre-season so far...

I have no doubt we are in a better shape than when Millen was here but three quarters of our squad were playing for us under Millen, now I know we have been promised more signings,I know we are mean and lean but please pause and think, most other teams have invested well, the league is of a better quality this year, our expectations should be higher and better than last year.

Don't let our hearts rule our heads, lower middle table will be a fine achievment and a big move forward...

I think we need the season to start already.

Can't stand any more of this worrying.

The league is apparently getting better every year, but I think that the overall quality is getting lower. I see Bolton and Blackburn struggling this year and some of the Championship old guard having a go at promotion. A strong squad will go far this season and despite their disgusting change I think the Cardiff Red Dragons will have a good go at promotion this year.

We've done well with transfers and although I'd like to see some more new faces we're at a point we've all been waiting for where we've been able to remove many of the old signings GJ made. We're a leaner squad and probably a far cheaper squad.

Additionally, we've yet to enter the loan market so I fully expect McInnes and co to be making some calls for us to land some good academy talent. I doubt our links with Tottenham will stick as AVB is apparently not a big fan of the lower leagues given his belief that they are poor because the Premier League cannot play their reserves in the Football League so I can see McInnes making links elsewhere. I'd like to see McInnes smooth-talk either Fergie or Moyes into lending us a midfielder or defender for the season.
