Denmark
A nought nought draw
Might just seem poor:o
But what they always say,
Is, if a win
Can´t be roped in
Then take a point, away

And honestly
´Twas hard to see
A winner there today,
Both sides fought hard:emoticon-0165-muscl
But don´t discard
How poor the pitch did play:steam:

No grouses though
For on that show
We deserved nothing more,
But the point shot
Us up a spot
Onto the second floor:biggrin:

And as it stands
With games in hand
Others may eye a chance,
To take our place :bandit:
But in that case
They´ll need points to advance

We´re not alone
For all have shown
A weakness here and there,
That´s why this league
Always intrigues
Shocks can come anywhere:emoticon-0104-surpr

Had I to choose
I´d rather cruise
Up there in second spot,
Than have a game
Or two to aim
For points as fixtures clot. OTBC

It comes to something when we're disappointed that we only got 1 point away to our worst bogey team.
It shows how far we've come!

Nice work again, RBF

I can't help but feel like this was a missed opportunity, and we're only second on games played - Cardiff should be able to take a point from their extra match and Nottingham Forest 2 from 2 matches in hand. However, I don't think their games in hand will come for a while later because we play on Tuesday so maybe this is an opportunity to put on pressure by keeping winning and wait for them to slip up? I've said it before and I'll say it again - unbeaten in the league since early December!

excellent as usual rbf! I'd take that point any day, roll on Tuesday we just need to keep winning now we have the position others may have games in hand but as we know in this division thats no guarantee of points!

Marsupial, in an ideal world, I´d agree with you, and say that it was an opportunity missed, but unfortunately football has never been part of an ideal world. A point on the day was about all we could have hoped for, Palace put in a good shift, the pitch did sound awful( how many times did we hear players from both sides not controlling balls, putting crosses behind the goal, slamming passes out for throws etc, etc), and we were not at our best, except the defence which I´d say sounded very solid. Circumstance wil sometimes dictate how well or not we play.

and ancient, I´m afraid I belong to the Neil Adams fan club, and would never leave Holt out, who brings so much more than just goal scoring and goal threats to the team, personally I´m far more worried about Martin C at the moment, who seems to have lost all confidence and appetite, which definitely is affecting his all round game. I know he probably only needs a goal or two to get him going again, but he needs to get them soon.
