Feel for Roy as he is a very decent man but, clearly not right for the job. Best league in the world..? yes, because it is full of the best foreign players (because we can afford them)...

English rugby was the same, trundle forward a bit, go through passing it down the line and back, roll forward another couple of yards and then go through the motions again. :emoticon-0118-yawn: Slow, ponderous and boring to watch plus, the mentality was all wrong.
    .
Cue the arrival of Eddie Jones, born and bred in the Aussie winning mentality which he has now transferred to the England team and for the first time ever, we have smashed the Aussies, at home playing a quicker, slicker and more ruthless brand of rugby.

I don't have any more time for English managers, the only one I would consider from a mentality viewpoint is Pearson, you don't mess with him, the others are a waste of space...

There are a few candidates about and I really don't care whether they are green with 3 heads, we need someone who can instill the ruthless winning streak.

My personal choice in this respect would be Simeone although I doubt he would come, tactical nouse and a winning mentality - you don't like his football, ask yourself if you want to win a tournament or just make up the numbers...? Get the cheque book out and tell him to write in his own figure.

No doubt others will have their own thoughts...

It would take a very brave manager to take on the England job, with the media and fans so expectant it's a minefield. So much easier to be a club manager and have the chance to buy non English players.
Not sure who I would like to see in the job, I gave up watching the Premiership due to, imo them and Sky ruining English football, so dont really know who is available tbh.
We could go foreign again I suppose, I'm not against it if it brings some degree of success at a tournament.

Gareth Southgate favourite, give me strength.

Nice guy, does not have the ruthless mentality/mindset required...

    Ditto.
They'll be asking Stuart Pearce next.

Needs a steely tough character that takes no nonsense- Nigel Pearson or Allerdyce- Ought to be a British manager but we wont get a star, like Simone or Poccettino who would be ideal.
