    The American league is ****e but I wish he hadn't left. He could have possibly brought lazy prima donna toss pots like Pogba and Sanchez to order.

    He wasn't playing though so he may as well be elsewhere.

    In May 2016 I was in New York, and they were making a huge fuss about the Noo Yawk deeerby between NYCFC and the NY Red Bulls, so I thought I'd go along. I'd been hearing quite a lot about the improving standards of MLS. The game I saw that day was awful, well below League 1 standard, I mean my nan could have got a game, and she died in 1978.

    Bradley Wright-Phillips got a hat-trick for the Red Bulls though. Which says it all really. Frank Lampard and Andrea Pirlo both turned out for NYCFC and failed to break sweat, or even look interested.
