... really hope these lads get some first team game time this season ... would rather see them involved than signing journeymen like Anthony Gerrard TBH (and no sour grapes there because he has signed for Huddersfield etc) - I'm old enough to have watched John O'Neil and Larry May come through the ranks and become 'institutions' and we need to be building for the future from now.
I think Moore will play his part this year after Peltier's departure. From what I've seen he's more than capable. Not so sure about Taft. The few times i've seen him he's not been great. Big step up from conference/swedish 3rd division to championship. I think a loan decent league 1/2 club would benefit im more. Not seen much of Bolger but sounded like he did well at Bristol.
Moore will be here and competing with RDL for right-back I'm sure. Taft is very highly regarded apparently (been involved with England youth sides) but for me would be better off to go on loan to a League 1 side. As Freddy said, a big jump from where he's come from. Although for me he's the long term successor to Paul Konchesky. Bolger could potentially fill the gap left by SSL but I think Tom Parkes looks the better player (from my limited viewings) and I wouldn't be upset to see Tom to back up Morgan and Whitbread for the start of the season.
Is it better for them here getting a fraction of games, or loaning them out to get better game fitness?
As far as I'm aware, he can play both. I know he played LB last night and I think he played there for England U19. Certainly a good prospect though.
I think Liam Moore will get his chance but i dont think the other 2 along with Tom Parkes will make it here
