Not the first time our own tactics have given a game away. Was baffled at the substitutions? Yes, there were a few poor individual player's decision making decisions (again), but ultimately it is the way we set ourselves up to play (when making changes). Many years ago we didn't care if they scored as the attitude was we would score more. As soon as we go defensive, the game is up.
judging our defense against the two best attacks in the league is a bit of an oversight, and today's defense is likely to change soon anyway
There may only be one change in defence, and as for an "oversight"? So why does a manage do it? We ALL know the weaknesses so why make changes that allows the opposition to play at these weaknesses?? When the subs were being made how many around you question the wisdom? It was so effing obvious. The performances against the two Manc teams were overall good...not great, as we let points slip away. So what about the Wigan game? It is not the manner of when we attack teams, it is the capitulation when we try to defend. One new defender will not make us unbreakable.
