Now, i'm generally all for keping with a winning team/formation, but i feel that if we are to get anything out of tonights game, then i belive we need to shuffle our pack somewhat. We saw earlier in the season that, when we had a settled team, eventually other teams sussed us out, and we started losing after a good run of 5 or 6 games. Now, Soton are a physical, strong team, and if PJ sticks with the likes of Leadbitter in the middle, and Smith at the back, i think this could work in Soton's favour, as those players are not the strongest, physically. I personally would put Luke back in the team in place of Leadbitter, as he is more physical and stronger, and also (even tho he's playing the best football of his career) swap Smith for Sonko (Smith is also due a bad game, especially as he could be a bit knackered from playing for the Kiwis last week). I'd also be tempted to take Murphy out, and play Scotland instead. Scotland would be better in defending than Murphy, and that would then hopefully leave Chops up front with Martin and Jet quickly supporting him.
I believe we can win this game, but PJ has to change the formation and team slightly, especially as Soton will be expecting us to field the same team as we have been lately, thus, would be working on the training ground to suppress us.
We need to defend extremely well tonight, with 10 men behind the ball when they are attacking, and then hopefully hit them on counter attack. It's not the ideal way to play a full 90 mins, but we need to add an element of surprise in the game, as you can be sure that Adkins will be setting his team out as tho we will be play the same as we have been over the last 6 games or so.

I stopped reading after the bit when you stated that Scotland would be better at defending than Murphy.

Can't really see much difference between Tommy & Sonks either.

Hyam would be welcome back but Leadbitter had a great game on Saturday.

It's all irrelevent anyway as we are going to win 300 v 0
