Went to the game yesterday and I'm still nursing a mega hangover from too much of the Scottish stuff. Our defence has been torn apart by injuries in the last couple of weeks which meant MON had to decide how to get round that. He did that by taking the game to West Ham and defending from the front keeping them pegged back for most of the game and, got it spot on. Not sure if he took a risk by doing that or it was all he could do but it worked well, I was hoping to see 2 up top yesterday due to our defence being crocked, I got it wrong as if we had gone down that route we may not be looking up the table. N'Diaye looked a decent purchase from what little I saw of him and was praying (very unusual for me) that his shot would have sneaked in, that would have been the icing on the cake for me and a massive boost to the lads confidence. It was only 10 or so minutes but, it looks like we have finally got ourselves a decent player on the cheap, early days but more than happy with what I saw.
Mon knows how to be successful at this level both as a player and a manager. There was never a doubt in my mind that he would get it right if we just gave him our support and time. In Martin we should trust guys. The man is a legend.
