One for the smokers. Right, now that the government have banned packs of ten tabs & 12.5g, 25g packs of baccy hows that make you feel? All company logo's banned as well. Personally, the more I have the more I smoke. Are these ****ers for real? If they are that ****ing concerned why don't they just make tobacco illegal? Oh, is it something to do with the £3bn a year they rake in off it in tax?
They should just make it illegal now. It's absolutely criminal the amount they make off it, it far outweighs the money they spend to combat smoking related diseases. I started smoking lucky strikes at 11. It cost me 2 euros 80 for a pack of 20, roughly 2 poonds. I quit for the second time a couple of months ago when it was costing 20 dollars for a pack which is roughly 15 quid a pack. I'd rather it was just banned outright than a form of voluntary extortion. It's a bit of a disgrace for me.
Of course it will Brian but if they ban it they'll lose loads of dosh. There are more deaths in this country that are alcohol related than anything else. But they get loads of dosh from that as well. Patronising bastards. I ****ing hate MP's. What makes them ****s think they know better than us? Or the police, soldiers, school teachers, firemen, nurses, doctors, teachers or any other poor **** in the front line?
Im a smoker and I enjoy it, but I wish they'd ban it so I'd be forced to stop. I've not the will or interest to stop as things stand even though I know it's a lifting habit.
Did you start this thread cause it's 10 years today since the smoking ban came? I hadn't realised it was that long. Should some stats about on how many have stopped. I'll have a butchers.
Yeah I just don't think they should be making the money off it that they are. It's taxing people who're addicts, scummy and unethical for me. Just get rid and take the choice out of people's hands.
Hate to piss all the smokers off, but out here in Nigeria a pack of 200 costs a fiver and that's shop prices, you can get them off the street traders for four quid.
I made ***s to be sold in Nigeria when I worked at Rothmans. Can't remember the brand name(dark green packet) but they were little stubbies with no filters with a little slide open top and apparently it was budget cigarette and they were generally removed from the pack and sold as singles to the poor.
Just asserting whether it was a coincidence this thread has come up on the 10th anniversary of the smoking ban that's all. You can take the stick out your arse now. I'll remove the smoking ban related stuff
These are B&H, Marlboro, Rothmans, etc. or you can get a big bag of herbal for around a fiver as well, by big I mean a half carrier bag full.
I pay £1 for 100g of organic rolling baccy over here in Istanbul. Cheap as chips (the cheesy kind obviously). Lasts me 2 weeks. When smoking is this cheap is kinda hard to stop. Licorice papers and menthol filters and organic baccy make for a smooth smoke. Heaven..
