I'm looking to take the plunge so my question to all you techy ****ers is this, I Pad or Samsung Galaxy Tab2 ? My phone is a Samsung and both my TV's are Samsung so I'm swaying that way, is there a defining difference between them or even another option? Or shall I just have an E? (please Bob)
I recently got the wife one of those Samsung tablets ( free with my Samsung phone coz i'm a tight bastard ) and she seems happy with it and it looks good to me but I think the techys will probably tell you the Apple I pads are better
Depends what you're going to use it for I suppose. I'd just make sure you can do/get everything you want as far apps an other programs go. My sister got a tablet recently, she wanted an windows tablet, but the apps she's using for her teaching program at school were only on the iPad.
Take an E instead... I genuinely dont see the point in a tablet.. laptops are small now anyway whats the point in a tablet as well. though if i were to have one i'd go for an ipad.
Anything other than an ipad are for plebs. Ipads are the dogs bits, samsung is the dogs poo or try both and buy the one that suits. simple really
It's a leisure/travel accessory for those with children. Games, films, cartoons, music etc. Also can be used by adults of course but work and serious stuff will be done on the laptop. There's **** loads of apps I use on my phone that I would on a tablet and then there are the newspapers and magazines etc. Hope that clears that up me man!
This though I have an iPhone, not really a problem with that. With a tab you want to be able to do what you want.
Google Nexus, although ,unlike the 7" version, I think the 10" version is still only available through Google's Play Store. Using the 7" versions of both the Galaxy and the Nexus I have to say the Nexus is a lot smoother.
P.S. Android is better because more people can contribute and you're without limitations as to how you can obtain feature improving apps.
Our iPad works well at this. Keeps the little one entertained and stops her whinging on long journeys or whenever we want. Also keeps me amused when bored Don't think there will be a massive difference, and def not one you will notice once you've made your choice. If you already have Samsung phones I would go for an Android tablet as you should then be able to keep all your old apps. If you buy an iPad you may end up spending a lot buying the same stuff that's already on your phone.
am having an Android , and Samsung are the best when it comes to Android they have some good Apps .. but you will find more created to Apple tbh but heard Ipad don't support flash and some other complication but which one is better? tbh depend on what you want, and the difference is not that big anyway look to this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BG8A5shlP0 http://www.phonearena.com/reviews/Apple-iPad-3-vs-Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-10.1_id2975 http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/new-ipad-vs-samsung-galaxy-tab-2-10-1 i use it more as ebook reader tbh or to surf online while .. is far more comfortable and lighter than laptop and i can sit how ever i want and enjoy reading i use laptop for FM and my work only as i use high demanding graphic hardwares
Android 4.1 and upwards don't support flash now neither, everything is slowly starting to move to HTML5 instead, you can still get flash on Android 4.1+ but it is not fully supported anymore and can't be found on the Play Store.
oh yeahh i remember i heard that .. stupid move tbh .. it was not supported prior to 2.2 too I think .. so they only supported it for about a year and half !! anyway going back to subject, my brother use both tablets at home and work but he prefer Ipad.. but again he is a big fan of all APPLE products, so he is bias
Actually it's competely the opposite. Apple products are for plebs who don't know how to utilise technology properly and want everything spoon fed to them however apple want to do it and at much higher costs. Basically if you just want to be cool get an iPad because all your stupid friends will have one and you can fit in and then spend £500 when the next one's out because you 'have to'. Otherwise, get an android tablet. And regarding the lack of a flash player in newer versions of android, there's an easy work around to get it again. Finally, if you're looking to buy an android one it's often good to look at one with a new model about to replace it because the price drops like a rock. E.g. My tablet (TF101) cost me ~£230 but a couple of months later when they discontinued to sell the new models, my girlfriend picked one up in Currys for £130.
Thanks for all the advice everyone. I think I want an android and I know I don't want to buy into the Apple bollocks but it could be swayed by the fact she's a teacher and the British education system is foisting apple products unon them (with a tidy discount). Everything is telling me Samsung though so maybe **** it, I go for the tab2.
