IMO utd will catch Chelsea and Arsenal over the next 4 games.

Cheslea's position is false as they've played more no top 6 teams and anyone in top 6.

City should actually be worried. We've only 3 top 6 games left.... 2 at home.

If we continue to win v the non top 6 teams they will need to pick it right up.

Man city season in league could hing on these three games back to back
    Arsenal H
    Chelsea H
    Everton A

    What's harder...

    a) Away to Man Utd
    b) back-to-back home ties versus Arsenal and Chelsea

    ...?

For us the utd game is much harder.
    there are 3 factors:

    1. pitch size. This really does matter to our side.
    2. Utd athleticism (if they keep not picking lukaku then they are a side full of runners again)
    3. Utd very likely being on a 10 in a row winning streak.

IMO this game is BY FAR our toughest game of season. Much harder than city away even.

    For city then..

arsenal at home... shoudl smash them tbh.
cheslea at home... never easy... that'll be a close game.

Just another point. LFC are playing all the "mid table" type sides again now.

City are playing all the absolute bottom sides.

Our run in in the last 10 must be easier than citys.

Interesting but we just need to whittle away games now, keep getting 3 points and keep the pressure on City and hopefully somewhere down the line City drop points.

It really will be a who blinks first type of contest right enough.

we've got ourselves a good position.

City now what that 7 point gap to close again this weekend. its a pity game is at theirs. I can see them whacking wolves tbh.

Interestingly we play first again next weekend. If we can beat palace we can put the same must win nature into thier easier tie v huddersfield.

Our record against non top 6 teams is perfect. I’ve not seen anything like it. Even with the Arsenal invincibles and the sweeping manc sides of the 90s and 00s it has never happened.

If this continues and there is no reason why not then I cannot see us being caught. City have already faltered against such sides and this is something I never thought I would say: our consistency is much better than theirs. In 27 years or so of the premiership the first time we’ve not dropped points unnecessarily. Not even once. The stars are aligned :)

Right now we have on my count 8 games left v lower half sides and then 8 v top half sides. Of which only 3 are top 6 rivals.

out of the 16 games the absolute worst we can do possible is 10 wins... If it goes pear shaped. Right now lower half teams aint even trying v top 6 unless its at home and after first goal goes agaisnt they shut down.

thats 30 points or 87 points.

thats not enough obviously by the look of city.

If you awarded 3 draws v top 6 rivals (two home top 4 teams in chelsea and spurs and one away v utd left)
8 our of 8 v bottom half (maybe a bit cheeky)
that leaves 5 games to debate

    Leicester
    Everton
    Watford
    bournemouth
    Wolves

I can't see us not beating bournemouth , they just are too open.
Leicester seem in **** form away so its ideal time to meet them,
    watford game is at anfield

that leaves everton away and wolves at home on last day.

Despite all wolves great games they might well be on the beach by that game.

    like.......

I've just awarded us a minimum of 11 wins and 3 draws out of 16 with a probably win at home on last day....

    thats 39 points.

57+39 = 96 points.... every other year bar last year 96 points is a record haul.

can city do better than that?

Some of the teams lower down the league will dig in as the threat of relegation looms, this isn't over yet.

    hey just my opinion.

    City's game suits us.

Utd pitch and their running game (finally reinstated) doesn't

We like to play city cos we know where we are at with them. it'll be pass pass pass pass pass. good shape and you are ok.

Utd... fast break, we are up the pitch. they exploit.

We don't like sides who can get past first press and then hit with pace.

IMo gomez must be back for that game AND we cannot play milner and windy.

    Very true.

I was looking at last 10 games.

    Everton A
    Fulham A
    Southampton A
    Cardiff City A
    Newcastle United A

I've deleted home games even though that eliminates burnley and Huddersfield. the crowd can help us there.

not overly worried about fulham. They have mitrovic but not much else.

I'd be quite worried about cardiff. You can imagine the antics warnock would get up to. The grass could be 4 foot long by then.

Rafa's newcastle might be safe, might be gone, might be right in it.. who knows... but thats 2nd last game as well.

could well be one of these away games v small clubs that are desperate that could hurt us.

If you don't blink your eyes dry out and you can't see. If you can't see it's hard to win games.

Penultimate fixture to the end of the season. I pray that Newcastle are safe before we play them, better
still the league is already won by us.

Problem is those ‘bottom’ clubs get harder as the season draws to a close so - personally - I think it will be harder for us
Plus we don’t have the prem winning experience so no matter what there will be nerves.
Totally agree Utd hard but goodie on will be no picnic
The spurs game will be tough too

    Yes
They can go unbeaten from here

Who do you think will turn them over
I just can’t see who will now
Possibly the Derby but that’s about it

City tend to go on long runs without dropping points
We just have to match them now all the way to the finish

Milner does. Klopp has league winning experience too.

Probably others but in lesser leagues.

Yeah but I don’t think that is going to be In The same league as the pressure of 30 years etc...
brilliant to be in this position though.

As a slight aside Neville has said there are a number of Utd fans who want Liverpool to win the title rather than city

    that Is total bollocks
I work with a lot of Utd fans
Not one now wants us to win it lmao
