Well, we won't be fielding Andrea Tabanelli tomorrow, the FL have refused Leeds permission to sign him from Cesena (or is it Cagliari? He went to Cagliari on loan 27 January with a view to it becoming a permanent move ... who knows what's going on). Maybe not a bad thing as he is another midfielder, and we are overloaded in that area. Can only think the transfer was refused because it was too late, or the wrong person signed the paperwork. Does this mean Festa is done now? After all, the reason he was at TA for training on Monday was as interpreter for Tabanelli. We shall see. Onwards and upwards, shouldn't be too long until we have twenty Italians on our books.
Don't think he'd have figured tomorrow anyway, and there'll be no more overseas loan signings now until the summer as they're not allowed during the loan window.
Please do't tell me you're actually this naive? This is just a guess BS, but maybe it was refused because, oh I don't know, every decision at the time was being made by a megalomaniac who didn't even actually own the club and therefore had no right to sign off on any of the ridiculous things he was doing?
This move would be bad for the club. Same as the Del Piero move. It starts with signing players the manager hasn't asked for, then it turns into "play him" regardless of whether he's good enough or fits into the managers system and plans. Then comes "why aren't you playing him?" Then "you're sacked" and some Italian nobody comes in. We'll go nowhere under Cellino.
What do you see as a Realistic alternative in our dire situation. Remember the clock is ticking. Four weeks tomorrow till we face a winding up petition in the high court so it has to be resolved pdq. If Cellino fails fpp there are three more winding up petitions lined up for gfhs LUFC, all would be scheduled in the high court for last week in this financial year I.e last week in March.
Doesn't mean they'd actually get anywhere. Plus gfh would then be forced to sell to someone else at a lower price, if they are that desperate. We don't owe the tax man any money so we won't actually go under. Relax.
So are you. The press are harping on about how much money is owed by the club to various parties. If you're going to believe the press the least you could do is believe the fact that hmrc hasn't been mentioned for a reason.
If the deal doesn't go through this week and nothing is disclosed about owing hmrc circa £.0.5mill in unpaid employees PAYE you can come back and tell me how wrong I am. Hmrc won't go public until they place their petition in the high court, but if it's owed they will move this month. The TO is the only thing stopping things hapening right now,
Because they take a pragmatic approach if they believe there is a realistic chance of receiving the entire sun instead of say 1/15th of it as a creditor of a company in admin. Can I suggest we stick to one thread or the mods merge them?
Last comment. They would be the third in the line of creditors behind staff costs, other football clubs. As things stand they wouldn't get more than 25% of the rumoured half a mill.
As far as I'm aware, there is only one party prepared to take on the debt generated by GFH, and that is Cellino. I don't believe anyone else is prepared to do this - much more cost effective to let GFH go into administration & effectivly pick up a debt-free club, a la Bates. And if this happens, God forbid, I wonder if Bates would be tempted to dig that £1 coin out of his pocket again. You're taking a very narrow view atm, Marko. Start thinking more about the complexity of the situation and stop fixating on only one aspect (which seems to be our saving grace, btw).
back Cellino now, we need to come together as a fan base and fcuk everyone else, this is our chance to move on up Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
