Now that Taarabt appears to have sort out his fitness he is showing a classy display.
He seems like he trusts his new team mates and has faith in them more as he is playing team football.....passing the ball more and less showboating.

Don't get me wrong, I love the showboating and tricks, it's what puts bums on seats, but equally happy to see him create simple chances

    Good work lads.

I've been saying to friends and family alike for a while now that it would be interesting to see Taarabt play alongside players of a similar caliber to himself. Part of me always wondered if he didn't pass to Heidar Helguson or Hogan Ephraim in the CCC because he knew he was always going to be more capable, often from a worse position.

It DOES (let's hope it stays this way!) seem to be different with Barton/SWP and friends. Maybe he has more respect for them and thus feels more free to be part of a team!

Edit; No disrespect intended towards HH or Hogan who both wore the shirt with pride and always put in 100% effort. Merely pointing out that our new players are quality!

Its a very interesting take on it boys. Intriguing theory. (The quality of posters on this Forum is as good as I've seen anywhere by the way)

On one hand I think it was still silly of Taarabt not to pass to his teammates last year whatever their ability. On the other hand, and I said this on another thread, now that we're out of that God-awful Football League I can say freely that the standard of player in the CCC is terrible and perhaps I can appreciate the angst of Taarabt having to play with such limited (and some downright sh*te) players.

Having to read fans and indeed myself talk up the quality of our players the last fifteen years was downright painful to someone that grew up watching top-flight football with a very useful Rangers side participating. Don't get me wrong, we had and will always have some legends from those days but I pray to God I never have to watch us play in such a one-dimensional piece of sh*t league again.

Tarbs must be loving having proper players around him for a change and hes clearly reveling in it.

Fairly sure it's not just having quality players around him but having recovered from the fasting of Ramadan that's made the difference. As far as i understand Adel fasts and that must be incredibly hard for a professional footballer. Seventeen and a half hours without food or liquid at the start of Ramadan this year, it ain't easy believe me. Maximum respect to the guy.

Tarbs has copped a lot of criticism for his selfish displays in the past but as swords pointed out, he didn't have players with ability around him. In a way he did what was best for the team by being selfish....if that makes any sense. Now he's in a team with a bit quality and players with way more experience in the prem, he is showing he can be a team player too. He's just playing to the circumstances and that is as mature as you can get.
