some good news before WBA game Hughes insists Taarabt wil not leave QPR please log in to view this image 13/04/2012 by David McIntyre QPR manager Mark Hughes has dismissed reports linking Adel Taarabt with a move to German club Wolfsburg. The Bundesliga outfit were reported to have made contact with Rangers, but Hughes insists there has been no approach and Taarabt is not for sale. âWeâve certainly not had any conversations in that regard and have no intention of allowing him to leave,â said Hughes. Taarabt, 22, has impressed under Hughes and scored his first Premier League goal in Rangersâ recent victory over Arsenal. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/hughes-insists-taarabt-wil-not-leave-qpr/
No time to think those crappy newspaperstories. If we stay up i dont believe anybody want to go away ,except maybe to barca ,real madrid ,manu or city .
didn't really buy the story of him going to Germany in the first place, but think it's nice to see MH saying the club has no intention of allowing him ot leave anywhere...
Sparky can say all he wants about Adel going nowhere but money talks and I can see him letting anyone go if the price is right. When would Adel have been most valuable to us? When he was the best player by a long mile in the Championship or after a season where he hasn't been at his best in the Premiership?
We will get a lot of this in the next few weeks. Nobody is getting a new contract until we find out for sure which division we will be playing in. Makes perfect sense. Several teams have gone down having dished out long term, expensive contracts and have paid the price.
Of course he stays why wont he? However if somebody wants to buy him for 10 000 000 pounds it would be daft tosay no.
I'm confused. As far as I know Taarabt is a free agent in the summer so it's not up to Hughes and 'he's not for sale' is irrelevant. What am I missing?
He still has another year on his contract to run, signed for 3 years at the beginning of our Championship winning year.
He'll be renegotiating in the summer, either we sell him or lock him into another 3 years then - cant leave it to run down so he goes free. It'll be interesting, the new guy Rigg is going to sort all this out.
This is good news. Hughes can recognise talent. Whatever division we are in the first priority should be to tie Faurlin and Taarabt in to new 3 year contracts. They have been a big part of our recent past and should be the foundations for the future.
TBH ..i'd be more intrested in tie-ing down Diakite and Faurs first. Tarbs aint going anywhere if we stay up, dont really see many other prem teams wanting him, even though he has greatly improved. May get an offer from one of the 3 teams that come up ? If we go down, I reckon he may well be off though..money talks and he wont fancy another year in the Championship..may be many others in that same mind set. I wonder how SWP would do in the Championship as i dont see any other Prem team coming in for him? Going to ba a very intresting summer of transfers, which ever league we are in.... Just my opinion?
