Sadly, it's hard to believe anything you hear these days and if someone comes in with a big offer before the deadline he'll be gone. He also changes his mind on a daily basis so don't hold your breath. I'm sorry to be negative but I thought the big announcement was gonna be takeover news. Oh well, I suppose I'll watch the Goon's show on BBC...

I love Adel to bits but sometimes i get the feeling that Neil would rather not play a system around him..Next season he will be a marked man,and will be interesting how Neil will adapt the team when Adel isnt at his best..he will need a minder.

The first good news for some time. Let's hope no one else comes in with an offer. The official announcement on the propaganda site is a laugh. Apparently we have “rebuffed all offers” and Bothroyd and Dyer were Warnock’s two top targets. Oh yeah.

Just read the statement on the offish. I now feel physically sick! Do they really think we are that gullible?

    CLUB STATEMENT: TAARABT IS STAYING
Posted on: Sat 23 Jul 2011

Club Statement on behalf of majority shareholders Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore:

'We are pleased to confirm that Adel Taarabt will be staying at QPR this summer.

Despite receiving a substantial bid for our Moroccan international, we rebuffed all approaches and indeed, we are keen to build for the future in the Barclays Premier League, and not sell one of our prized assets.

Should we have decided to sell Taarabt this summer, we made it clear to Neil Warnock that we would reinvest funds into the squad.

Taarabt is fully committed to the Club and is looking forward to proving his undoubted star quality for QPR in the Barclays Premier League.

Our decision not to sell him only serves to reiterate the ambition and commitment we have both shown to QPR since we arrived here.

We saved the Club when it was close to relegation from the Championship and just one week from liquidation.

At this time, Flavio Briatore outlined a four year plan to reach the Premier League, which was achieved.

We have always owned approximately 70 per-cent of the shareholding at the Club and have been the major benefactors since our arrival.

We have backed Neil Warnock in bringing in his two top targets, Jay Bothroyd and Kieron Dyer, and we are working hard to try and pursue a couple of other targets the coach has identified.

Welsh international Danny Gabbidon has impressed the coach whilst on trial and we are aiming to add him, as well as at least one or two other players to our squad in the near future.

Neil Warnock is our coach and we are working closely with him in a professional and confidential manner to try to achieve our aims and objectives.

The coach's job is to coach the squad and identify players he believes will improve the squad. As a Board, we deal with all the negotiations and we have been successful in completing deals for Bothroyd and Dyer so far.

We are aware of some issues that have been raised in the press by the coach, but we have discussed these with him internally and he has agreed to be more reserved in terms of what he discusses in the future.

We are fully committed to strengthening our status as a Premier League Club next season and in due course, build for the future.

Now we are in the Premier League, we intend to stay here. We believe this Club can achieve great things and we are looking forward to the Barclays Premier League season.

We are very encouraged by the 10,000 plus Season Tickets we have sold to date and we look forward to welcoming our fans back to Loftus Road on the first day of the season against Bolton Wanderers on August 13th.'

Guys, this is GOOD news. I have my doubts about the dwarf and flabbyo, but they have not done the dirty and cashed in on Adel. They APPEAR to have the club's best interests at heart. Yes, I think the Mittals could do better, but you have to say that this is positive news. Can't wait 'til 13th August. COME ON YOU Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs!

Indeed, and the goons speak. What does everyone think about their statement about saving the club and if Tarbs had gone they would have given all money to Warnock. They said they are looking at a couple of other players and are comitted to QPR staying in the Prem. Also spoke to Warnock about some of his comments about having no money and he has agreed to be more reservered. Sounds like they are trying to shut him up to be honest.

Still great news that Taraabt is staying.

All dictators have their mouthpieces spewing propaganda, Bernie is an admirer of Hitler, as is his mate Max Moseley, so they are trying to tell us what we want to hear, trouble is no-one believes them. I'd rather hear nothing than bullsh*t!

Excellent news, and a big boost for the club. I wonder if flabio slipped adel a few extra quid to stay, or did leonardo tell his board to go and jump?

Apart from the tarbs bit, there is admittedly, a lot of trash within the statement, but i think we have to take the positive, which is a very big positive, that tarbs will be here in august.

I can feel the swans and canaries quivering...............

It is a big positive but limits us to a style of play that the big boys will suss out pretty quick...we need a bit more quality to accompany Adel!

QPR say Adel Taarabt will be staying at the club despite interest from Paris St-Germain
Queens Park Rangers have announced that they will not be selling playmaker Adel Taarabt, and that the player is "fully commited" to the club.

Taarabt was the standout performer for QPR during their run to the Championship title last season, but has been strongly linked with a move to Paris St-Germain this summer.
The player had said that a move was "very close", with QPR manager Neil Warnock also stating that he did not expect to be given any of a reported £12m fee for re-investment in his squad, but the club has now stated that Taarabt will start the Premier League season in west London.
A statement on QPR's official website said: "We are pleased to confirm that Adel Taarabt will be staying at QPR this summer.
"Despite receiving a substantial bid for our Moroccan international, we rebuffed all approaches and indeed, we are keen to build for the future in the Barclays Premier League, and not sell one of our prized assets.
"Should we have decided to sell Taarabt this summer, we made it clear to Neil Warnock that we would reinvest funds into the squad.

"Taarabt is fully committed to the Club and is looking forward to proving his undoubted star quality for QPR in the Barclays Premier League."
Club owners Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore have attracted critism from QPR fans after not spending any transfer fees so far in the off-season, but have stated that they will continue to support Neil Warnock in the transfer market after securing free transfers Jay Bothroyd and Kieron Dyer.
"Our decision not to sell him only serves to reiterate the ambition and commitment we have both shown to QPR since we arrived here," said the statement.
"We saved the Club when it was close to relegation from the Championship and just one week from liquidation.
