Taarabt Relegating QPR Single Handedly! How appropriate that Adel Taarabt lost possession for Everton's goal, costing QPR two vital home points, because this guy is single handedly relegating QPR. Pavel Pogrebnyak's record in the Prem stands at five goals from five shots and*puts*Taarabt's failure to net a single goal from over 60 shots*into frightening perspective. *Fulham had an amazing 25 shots on goal against Wolves yesterday and netted five goals. Apply that ratio*to Taarabt and he should have 11 goals by now. Liverpool managed 12 goals against Arsenal and returned one goal. On that ratio, Adel should have five goals. Arsenal returned 2 goals from 10 games, which would give Taarabt 11 goals. And so it goes on. Just how many points has the wayward shooting, or selfish shooting, of the Morrocan cost the Hoops so far? The guy is a legend in his own mind but the evidence suggests that he is a liability in the Premiership and that he may be a prime factor in QPR's struggles. Hughes should look at the facts and either tell Taarabt to pass rather than shoot, or drop the selfish egotist to accommodate a team player instead. Click on the link col. There are plenty of responses from Rs fans already. They're worth a read on their own.
The goal was 50% Taarabts fault for giving the ball away and 50% Kennys fault for letting a very long shot in, he is so slow in moving. No single thing is relegating us but the most costly thing is Kenny, hes cost us near on 10 points by letting in every shot not straight at him, think about it, how many quality diving saves has he made this year?
I hate to say it but i agree totally. Thought the Paddy Kenny of old would of stopped that shot easily. I love the bloke for what he did last year but now i'm dreading any opposition player taking a shot . Why has someone that was so good last year suddenly lost all confidence and speed. Any body got some answers.....??
Hes injured, he must be because the difference is shocking, we have Cerny whos been superb this season and i dont know why he isnt playing, wed be up with Norwich and Swansea if he was. Also, Taarabt won the FK that led to our goal so you could argue without him it would have been 0-0 but that site is ridiculous as they seem to have some weird obsession with us and Fernandes.
As a goalkeeper myself I really don't think Kenny should take blame for that goal. Taarabt lost it cheaply but the defence should have done more to put Drenthe off or block it. The strike was superb and went right in the corner whilst moving away from Kenny.
Interesting points coming from a keeper mate......But do you think the Paddy of old would of done better ?
Adel has looked the most creative player in the last 7-8 games he's played and is upping his work rate (he was about 5th in distance covered in the first half). Drenthe was their best threat and I was pretty relieved when he was subbed. I have to agree with concerns about Paddy - I'm as nervous about him now as I was confident about him early in the season (or at any stage last year). Is he carrying an injury or just low on confidence?
He seems to have become a more rounded player, I think hes finally "got it". He has to chase back and he has to defend, now if he could only break his scoring slump.
I've been feeling that the in form goal keeper at the moment is Cerny and that he needs to be playing. Kenny is a shadow of his last season self.
Very true. This West Ham guy has a complete fascination with QPR, even the Hammer's fans on his blog have told him so. This is quite timid by comparison to some of the stuff that he has posted up a few weeks ago when the Ferdinand-Terry-gate matter was filling column inches. Any chance to climb into Tony Fenandes and this fellow's all over it. In summary; best ignored.
Possibly at his very very best but it was hit so well and accurately that I really wouldn't expect any keeper other than maybe the very best to have got close. There are a lot of saves that keepers make that commentators go mad for that to the keeper would have been quite routine and some, like this, where people think he's in the wrong. In the Leeds v Southampton game, for example, Kelvin Davis made a double save that the commentators were saying was world-class but Davis would have been very disappointed to have not kept the second one out.
As much as i really dont like Adel, i think the OP is absolute rubbish.... Using stats you can prove just about anything to be true....
