Can somebody tell me what's going on with Adel. I'm not familiar with his situation.I watched his videos on youtube and he seems as a very good player, good ball control, a lot of tricks up his sleeve, and he can score. From videos I figured out that he's selfish and he likes to finish the action by himself although he has better options, but other than that where's the problem?
There was a rumour that he and Traore stormed home before the game at Manchester City. So they havent been in the team since. Traore could come in now that Fabio is injured and Taarabt might play more now that Johnson is out too. Also weve played a lot of the good teams and I think Taarabt is better against the lower teams.
Adel is a very talented and exciting player who sometimes has attitude/intelligence problems. He could be seen as a risk to play against the so-called 'better' teams. Personally I would like to see him given a run of at least 10 games. If he delivers, fantastic, we are all happy. If he doesn't, perhaps that will help us kill off the endless arguments we have about him on here. One thing is certain, Adel is the model of a true QPR number 10 - outrageously skillful, arrogant, devastating when in the mood, wayward. Hughes job is to get him on the pitch with a clear idea what his job is and the freedom to play.
Thanks for the responses. I know you went through this a million times. But i must tell you that he looks more as a winger. A true no.10 must be a great passer of the ball and with great through balls and Adel doesn't strike me as that. Any truth in that?
Adel has a rare talent nowdays, he can take people on and make them look fools at times Unfortunately he may try to take a player on if an easy pass is available or lose possession in a dangerous position A lot of his own team mates may well be happier without him on the pitch in all honesty
Do some research Pirate - I said 'QPR number 10' - not the common number 10. Stan Bowles, Rodney Marsh the true models, players who could play the killer ball, but just as likely to beat the same player 3 times with nutmegs just for the hell of it. Play in the middle, wings, in the hole, wherever the mood takes them. Pure entertainers. And now I am getting nostalgic. Really happy with Granero by the way, very exciting player who is happy to tackle!
Adel can play through balls like the best out there, problem is that he doesn't want to nearly as often as he should. The videos that you've probably seen is from our Championship winning season, it's just that he didn't trust his teammates enough to convert them so did the business himself Did it several times last year though, when the teamates was of a higher calibre. So shouldn't be a problem when he's finally given a chance again considering the options at our disposal.
The videos you were watching were in England's second tier or a Mickey Mouse Moroccan side. He hasn't performed at the highest level yet and he has yet to prove that he has what it takes, despite being given numerous opportunities. There is no doubt that he possesses immense skill and raw talent but so far he's shown that he hasn't got it in his head and that he's a bit thick. Still, there is a slim chance that he could make it but at 23, he must start NOW. He must stop being such a brat and start listening to his mentors and doing what his coaches instruct him to do. It would be an awful shame if he let his talent go to waste because despite his sulkiness, by all accounts he is a lovely lad: a Tee-total, traditional boy. Football is sink or swim though and so far in his career, he's been sinking at a rate of knots.
The Moroccan national side is not a "Mickey Mouse side", Swords. Keep your prejudices to yourself, please.
Totally agree. Strange how people can talk about other national teams as being Mickey Mouse and nobody turns round and talk about "prejudices", yet Swords says this about Morocco and instantly someone is on his back. Grow up.
Grow up yourself, had enough of this ****. Edit: Actually **** that I've really had enough of the **** stirring and low level racism of some ****s. I'm off, this time for good. **** that.
Imaz, you are making a lot of fuss about next to nothing mate I think most of the British teams are mickey mouse sides with the possible exception of England that is a judgement, not racist by any means
The number of personal attacks on people on here seem to ecalate by the day, as do the number saying they are off! I think the posters making these attacks should cut it out, and the ones threatening to leave should answer with the same mint, or grow thicker skins. Imaz, I enjoy your posts too, you often provide very refreshing insights and opinions. Hope you stick around!
I blame this El Pirato bloke for starting this thread, he obviously knew where it would end...... (Only joking of course!)
