Strange, seems almost identical to the other Taarabt love the fans thread with the addition of specific club interest. He's an ego, confidence player and wouldn't hurt to think he is wanted........as long as he stays!!
Taarabt could not get into Barca's starting 11 in a lifetime. I watch Barca every week and the two most important parts of their game are precision passing and working hard to to win the ball back. Messi's ability to run past players and score lots of goals would probably be next important. Taarabt's passing ability would never be good enough for them.
Taarabt's passing ability is already above any individual at Barca Barca without doubt you're right about their ethic and it's all about teamwork A on form ,motivated and confident Taarabt would make it into most top European sides ... Hence the speculation at the moment Taarabt's work ethic at the moment is outstanding ... He has that now in his locker to completely run games Early signs of a truly great players are now factual ... No Arguements there Please have an attempt to disprove the apprendice ? He is now on the dawn of something very speacial and Bowles Marsh albeit legends have a new kid on the block I pray we can keep him
I only just read the article and Jesus he thinks the world of himself. He picks a figure that he thinks he's worth and comes up with 20 million If anyone paid that amount for him they would need their head examined.
The first time I met Adel Taarabt was on the set of L’Equipe TV in the late show of Jean-Michel Larqué and Smail Bouabdellah.. He accompanied Adil Hermach his compatriot. I saw Taarabt again in Marrakech before the match against Côte d'Ivoire in June. He was not selected and we met by chance in the street before extending our discussions during a long summer night ... The Moroccan, who was charming, is a character that stands out. "I've never seen things like that" ensures Stéphane Mbia when he mentions the technical qualities of his teammate. Qatar hoped to see him at PSG, but not Leonardo, the real decision maker. His coaches know all facets of its atypical profile. Rachid Taoussi, the new coach of Morocco, chose not to retain him since taking office last September. But Taarabt, who has just offered Queens Park Rangers their first win of the season (2-1), still hopes to make him to change his minds. Taarabt, who doesn’t talk to the media anymore, talks about him here, and about his relationship with his managers. He accepts criticism and responds. Informative. Q: QPR finally won their first game of the season against Fulham (2-1). Tell us about your two goals? A: People look at my goals, but you should see my entire game, all that I realized from the first to the last minute. It was an outstanding game, a reference game. In addition, I played with Redknapp (his former manager at Tottenham and current at QPR) against Martin Jol, who brought me to Tottenham ... Even Jol said at the end that the difference between the two teams, it was Taarabt . It was madness at the stadium, there was a brilliant atmosphere. The stadium has only 20,000 seats but the fans are very close to the players, it's great! Q: Tell us about your magnificent second goal? A: I'm running, I roll the ball past one defender while running, I look at the position of the opponents. Then I kick the ball based on the position of the keeper whose view is obstructed by the defender Q: And your club can finally breathe ... A: It was not easy. But it was three games where we did not lose and by not much. Sometimes we were very good but things didn’t go our way. Q: Redknapp didn’t spare criticising you after leaving Tottenham, right? A: But I get on very well with him, he made me play 15 or 20 minutes per game at the beginning when I was at Tottenham. He said: "I do not want to let you go." But when Van der Vaart arrived from Real Madrid (2010) and 15 million, I told him: "I know you're not going to play me even though I'm better than him" But I do not forget that it was him who wanted me to be loaned to QPR. He called me one day and told me: "I loaned Rio Ferdinand to Bournemouth, Lampard in Swansea, you must play now you’re 17 even if it is not in the Premier League, who cares. Adel, you're a very good footballer" Because he knew that all I wanted was to play ... When I'm not playing, I'm not too easy to handle (laughs). He said I was like Di Canio at West Ham, I had a very strong character but I could make him win matches.... And on my arrival at QPR, I played all weekend, I really enjoyed myself, and we finally got promoted, I was voted best player of the championship in D2. And I was so proud to be given me the number 10 this season. And then here we are, I am with Redknapp again today ... Q: How was your reunion? A: Super. When he arrived, he asked me: "How is it going Adel?" And he asked me about our game, the team spirit. And when there is a change of coach, it often changes the mindset of players. And Redknapp has a thing: he is an exceptional motivator. When he talks to you, you think you're the best in the world. Before the game, he is brilliant. When you go on the lawn, you're fearless. At the end of the match against Fulham, he came to me saying, "I told you, you were as good as Berbatov." He goes to see Mbia and he tells him: "Big man, you're big, you're strong, with your physique you should score 10 goals a season!", And yet Stéphane never scores! (Laughs) He gives you confidence, he would die for his players. Q: In fact, you got another card for celebrating your goal ... A: I shouldn’t fuc k about, I took four yellow cards this season for celebrations! Q:You could restrain, don’t you think? A: Yes, but we are at the bottom of the hole in the league, and I wanted to celebrate with the fans. You’re very near them at the ground so I crossed the line that marks the end of the area where I can go. But I said to the referee: "We have not won for 17 games, couldn’t I just celebrate my goal? "But he did not agree (laughs) Q: Your name is often mentioned when the winter transfer window in the biggest clubs? A: I was told that there was the president of Anzhi, some people from Barcelona, I see all these clubs associated with my name, but I just signed up for four years at QPR. And the President has told me that he wouldn’t sell me. Now I do not know what will happen if someone offers the club $ 20 million. But I love this club and the supporters. And they love me too. Q: Redknapp must hope that you are not selected for CAN ... A: (Laughter) He came to see me to tell me not to go, but I told him: "If they call me, I can not refuse, coach! I love my country, I love the Moroccan people and football means a lot to them. "I warned him that the only solution is that the coach does not call me ... Q: On this point, you have not been selected by Rachid Taoussi since the departure of Eric Gerets. You think you may be going to the CAN? A: Marouane (Chamakh) Boussoufa, were not selected... At first, I did not understand but a new coach arrives with his ideas and it is quite logical. I almost had him on the phone recently and it did not happen. In any case, I miss it, I love my country, I can not refuse to go! There is the CAN and also the return match against Côte d'Ivoire in Abidjan that we need to win to still hope to qualify for the World Cup. Q: It’s said your behavior is the problem, not your footballing level ... A: I have a reputation that is wrong but it's true that I do not like not playing (laughs) I have my character, I take it quite badly if a player that doesn’t play in his club is ahead of me in the selection... I'm not a 20 minutes player (smile). I am one of the few Moroccans who plays 90 minutes per game in the best league in the world. I am seen everywhere. In Morocco, on Canal Plus and Al Jazeera. All Arabs around the world are watching. So it is true that I have difficulty accepting to sit on the bench. But don’t take me wrong, the coach does not have to take me. I hope to go to the CAN but even if I did not, and it would hurt me, I'll be the first supporter of Morocco. Q: Sure? A: Absolutely, I'm honest, you know. For the country, there is no question of Belhanda of Taarabt or any other ... I'm just really happy when we win. And I prefer a team that works without Taarabt, than a team with Taarabt that doesn’t. It is the choice of Taoussi and I accept it. I do not forget that Morocco won 4-0 against Mozambique and it is already a great victory for him. But I will do everything to prove to him that I deserve to be there.
"But when Van der Vaart arrived from Real Madrid (2010) and 15 million, I told him: "I know you're not going to play me even though I'm better than him" Amazing Sure you were Adel.
Before the Fulham game he was getting slated on here.......now he's better at passing than anyone at Barca!?! After a nose picking performance against Newcastle I'll have to check back in to see what his status is like then. Fickle bunch.
Adel was great last Saturday, involved in everything, scored two goals, one lucky, one very good, tracked back and worked hard, now if he did that every week (like he flippin should) then great, but he doesn't, do we have to wait another 5-8 games before he plays like that again, I hope not. He is good but not the full picnic yet. Whilst on my soapbox SWP ain't as bad a some suggest, last Saturday he gave a couple of bad passes and got caught in position a couple of times, but put in a good shift, didnt stop trying, I think (hope) he will get better under 'arry.
