Pakistan written off before the tournament being in the same group as 2 of the favourites in New Zealand and India. Even given both of them in their first two matches expecting them to be out early.

Considering where it's being held, it must be like playing at home for Pakistan. From the highlights I've seen, there looks to be a good team spirit - a good mix of youth and experience too.

The Taliban are looking good in the group too tbf. May cause an upset in one of the games to come.

 

I read on the bbc that the one Muslim in the India squad is getting a kicking on social media following their thrashing by Pakistan , being accused of leaking runs .

Sad imho .

Pakistan look great. England and Australia are the other two teams looking like they can win this so the match today will be interesting.

India team looked badly disjointed against Pakistan. West Indies have been massively disappointing, they've got the biggest hitters in the game but they've not fired all tournament.

Afghanistan were dark horses coming into this and they give Pakistan a good game which is a good sign for them. They've got quality spin bowlers which can hurt any side in the world. South Africa and Sri Lanka are nothing to fear (sitting watching that game now)

The scoring has been really low in this tournament. I'm not sure if that is more to do with the size of the boundaries or the energy sapping conditions out there. No team has got over 200 yet. The par scores seem to be around 140-150
