Although 23 games is the halfway stage, from the first of February is really what counts..... Played 23 games and top 12 were... CITY*** MKDONS *** SWINDON*** PNE*** BRADFORD SHEFF UTD*** CHESTERFLD ROCHDALE OLDHAM NOTTS CTY PETERBRO*** DONCASTER whilst generally I think the top 12 will be *** teams plus maybe 3 of the other 6, REPLACED BY Walsall from 14th, Scunthorpe from 17th and outsiders Crawley from 21st. Crawley have brought in 9 players Scunny 5 or so but Walsall none! ? MKD have replaced a good striker with another also made a couple other good moves..STILL STRONGEST TEAM Whilst Sheff have had brought additional new faces... LATE RUN LAST SEASON JUST FAILED Swindon signs a non lge striker... HAVE A REASONABLE TEAM, BUT CAN THEY MAINTAIN MOMENTUM and PNE added a couple...BUT HAVE BEEN JUST AN ABOVE AVERAGE SIDE My outsider for the top 6 is Scunthorpe Top 2 is now looking like CITY & MKD or perm EITHER with Swindlers and Sheff its now... ALL IN THE MIX TIME! Sheffields task.... direct method CITY LOSE 5 AND DRAW 1 WHILST THEY WIN 6 IN ANY CASE THEY NEED CITY NEED TO DROP 15 POINTS WHILST THEY MAKE 16..... crunch is CITY V Sheff... a draw would be a good result for City AS would the games against MKD, Swindon, and PNE
My thoughts on the window closing is, if you are feeling chilly close the window, if not leave it open. Not much really to think about
My view as the window closes are that we need another striker to help us blitz this division, we are the best side in this division, but it is the area we do need to improve on.
If thine window offends thee - pluck it out Messi would have been niceā¦. Things could get very messi before the story ends
Striker to bolster the ranks when Smith leaves. Otherwise we're back to relying on Wilbs and Agard or we have to get an emergency loan in if either of those gets injured. A mistake now in trying to 'make do' could spoil everything
