call it pathetic, as I'm sure you will, but after trawling (scuse the pun) through not606 it has come to my attention that fleetwood town are the most poorly supported team on here in the english leagues - 4 threads, 11 posts.

i have therefore adopted them as my 3rd team behind hull city and cowdenbeath.

unless there is a historical reason from seasons past why this is unacceptable?

Last time I was in Fleetwood I only saw 8 people, so that is probably the whole population

You should start more threads BFT.

    Why Cowdenbeath??

My old man always looked out for Hamilton Academicals, god knows why, so i do too.

my dad thought they had a funny sounding name, his nemesis (aka my uncle) chose stenhousemuir.

as a young pup, hamilton academicals and partick thistle were 2 that stood out for bonkers sounding names.

STENHOUSEMUIR!!! when I was at school they were constantly at the bottom of the lowest division in Scotland and got beat every week about 8-0. I always looked out for thier results and was slightly dissapointed if they got a draw let alone a win.
A truly dreadfull team back in the early 70's but I still like em and I'm glad they are still in business

copied from wiki, i think i could be on to something.....

Fleetwood was a prominent deep-sea fishing port, but, since the 1970s, the fishing industry has declined precipitously and the town has undergone economic difficulties.

I adopted St Johnstone as my Scottish team. We had connections in Perth and we used to go watch them when we visited.

My Scottish Team is Inverness Caledonian Thistle. The ground is set in a really cracking location - great views.

Kit is similar to Crystal Palace!

I'm an East Fife man, me dad's mate is from there so it's become mandatory to keep a look out for there results.

I've still to give pops his east fife scarf and hat for xmas since I've not seen him.

Favourite Scottish team is Queen of the South. Lovely mascot called "Doogie the Doonhamer". Also had a Goalkeeper who was the only UK player ever to be given a caution for blasphemy. This was the only caution he received in a career of over 800 appearances at the club and it occurred one Christmas Day.
After leaving the Doonhamers he went to play for Gretna. Believe his name was Alan Ball.

I'm also a Stenhousemuir fan, went to their ground whist working in Scotland, it's a tiny ground round the back of Buchanans toffee factory, wasn't sure if I was driving into the football ground or the factory car park.
