If the wages are O.K. then i'd take him agreed. But we need to concentrate on getting a winger or two in.
I wouldnt mind Chris Burke from Birmingham. He would be cheap and I have always been impressed with him Or maybe Paddy McCourt at Barnsley
Definitely. They'd have brought him in on a deal til January with an option for a longer term contract if he showed he was fit.
If we got him we´d have 5 FOR´s ? Need to sure up that DEF, more holes than a 2nd hand dart board which is about as much use as an ash tray on a motor bike if your looking for promotion. & I won´t even mention the chocolate fire guard .
He gave Wes a torrid time at our place last season - not seen many do that ... combined with Zaha on loan it would be a good bit of business
I mentioned his name before the season started - would do the job well imho. Give him a contract to the end of the season and see how he does.
Surely hes a free agent for a reason though, i'd guess Wolves couldn't afford his wages at league 1 level, but its not like any club have snapped him up. I wouldn't mind if we did sign him tbh, we need competition up front, and a zero transfer fee is great, but i think his wages are going to be a stumbling block, as Nige is unlikely to break any kind of wage structure he currently has in place in order to sign him.
Modest basic wage combined with a bonus scheme keavy on the Krispy Kreme's would likely clinch a deal ... him and GTF could have post match Man V Food contests ...
He's coming back from a serious injury. Nobody would sign him in the summer if he's not going to be ready to play until January, it wouldn't even be certain at that point that he would be back.
These things just take longer these days than they used to. When we signed Rosenior he was a free agent and hadn't been injured, it was still the end of October before we did the deal. How did he not have a club by then?
