hes had plenty of oppurtunities to shine but has taken none! he should have stayed at city and developed ,instead of listening to his old-man and going for the money..poor move if we go for him imo

    Can't believe these comments!
So we've gone from wanting Routledge, to not wanting SWP? <doh>

If he is signed, who drops out of the team to make way for him? Tommy? DJ?

I still think that we are looking at the wrong area to strengthen. We need some much better defenders.

Definitely need to prioritise in defence, especially at full backs. Pace is without doubt going to be important to us in that area right now.
The guys did a fantastic job yesterday, and the defensive line did great - but... we all felt the nerves as those last 30 minutes wound down as Everton kept pushing out back line.
I think we also need to plan ahead for Tarbs; we need a playmaker in the middle. If Tarbs does leave we will be very exposed in that area.
But what a great result yesterday. Damn, makes you feel good doesn't it. :)

SWP is vastly overrated and a very poor crosser of the ball. Not our No.1 priority at present...

Agree not a priority especially as the thought of his old man hanging around and telling Neil how he should be played is leas than attractive.

Agree. Defence is the priority, but this guy would walk into our first XI.

He's an England international with more Premier League experience than our entire squad put together. On his day he's blinding to watch.

SWP is slightly better than Routledge, decent enough player if you're willing to pay his extortionate wages.

The wifes Mail on Sunday infers Onouha and SWP for half our transfer budget so is that circa £5m? If so that's a great bit of business, another England international on the squad and if we secure Parker for the other £5m and get Fatty in on loan then I'll be very pleased

Not at 60k a week would cause unrest with other players who are not earning that amount of money.

He did, back to City before the Sheiks came!
I reckon Warnock might have him in the points to prove category.
Nice conversation to be having anyway eh;)
