Rangers lost 6-0 to Martin Jol's side in October but as the tricky winger looks ahead to the return match in W12 on Saturday, he told www.qpr.co.uk: "That game is out of our minds now. "We know we played really badly that day but what we have to do is bring all the hard work we've put in over the past two weeks into the match. "We are a different team to the team that played that day. There are a lot of new players and we play a different way." The R's occupy 16th spot going into this weekend's fixtures, and have had to endure a two-week break after a disappointing loss at Blackburn. But Wright-Phillips says the players are now ready for the run-in after Mark Hughes made the most of the gap in fixtures with a week's training camp in Portugal. "After no game for two weeks it will be great to get out there and play some football," he admitted. "We just want to get back and start putting some points on the board. "But the week in Portugal was a good opportunity for all the boys, particularly the new faces, to get together and have some bonding time. "The benefit of the two-week break is that it has given us a decent amount of time to train as a group and get used to one another." As the squad prepare for the remaining 13 games, Wright-Phillips is keen not to put extra expectation on one fixture over another. "Every game is massive now because we need to start picking up some points," he said. "And we need to be starting games well, rather than just playing well in the second half. "Obviously we are fighting for survival but as players we believe we are going to stay up and I think the fans share that belief." QPR face a difficult run of fixtures towards the end of the season, but Wright-Phillips is not focused on that. He is concentrating on each fixture individually. "For us it's the old cliché of taking each game as it comes," he added. "We are just thinking about it game by game and our focus is on picking up more points than the teams below us. "Hopefully by the end of it we will get what we deserve." http://www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2621038,00.html? please log in to view this image
"Hopefully by the end of it we will get what we deserve." Of course we will If that's either safety or relegation remains to be seen.
Yeah, we're different. Around the time of the Fulham defeat we beat Wolves with ease, battled a draw with Blackburn and saw off the scum. Contrast and compare with more recent results. Vive la difference Shaun.
We ARE different - we now lose in an organised way. I also like the bit about enduring a 2 week break - I'll gladly volunteer for the arduous task of training in the Portugal sun for a fortnight.
SWP: We're A Different Team Now Yep that's the spirit ... If we all stare upwards at the sky and wish then a giant bird will come down and wow aren't the flowers pretty? ... We should strip off ... run and skip and make little sculptures out of our number twos. Next time I will only take two Bob Martins promise
