Looks like MH agrees with most of us... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/qpr-mark-hughes-wants-to-sign-810219
Great news, but who is going to buy that flop SWP. Me think we will be hard pressed to get him off the wage bill.
Hoilett would be a great addition - even if we end up compensating Blackburn for the 21 year old. But it's the SWP thing that bemuses me. What's so wrong with his game that couldn't be put right with him simply putting a cross over or passing the ball to a team mate at the end of a move? Has he got a mental block on keeping possession? Normally careers fade for fitness reasons. Not the case here is it? Weird if you ask me.
He's never been a winger who delivers crosses, his best spell at City saw him beating defenders with pace and scoring himself. He just doesn't do that anymore. Strange indeed...

Sorry Sooper....emotions are all over the place at the moment. We really needed Bolton and villa to lose but they picked up a valuable away point each. We're not doomed yet but boy do we need a minor miracle. Of course if we win tonight my tone would be different. This is killing me!!!!
Interesting that young Hoilett would be agreeable to joining a team whose record (even in the event of survival) is little better than Blackburn's. Could it be that Rangers metamorphosis is gathering credibility?
That's the problem IMO. I can see West Ham (if they go up) snapping up all the talent from the fallen clubs i.e Hoilett, Jarvis, N'Zonzi, Fletcher, Hennessey etc.
I have heard loose speculation on the TV that some of the very top clubs are interested in Hoillet, and the wide player at Wigan we were linked with before. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we land one of these two even if we stay up.
I must admit I thought similar myself on reading this. We need to get in quick once our PL future is assured...
Agree Brix, it's a strange case. People say form is temporary and class is permanent. If this is true then we should have seen the best of SWP by now. Nobody can claim that he was not given enough games or chances to regain fitness, sharpness, form etc etc. NW nad MH gave him every chance. Yes, he can still run, he has pace energy etc etc, but he has NO end product. If you have a creative player with no end product then he soon becomes a journey man and just another average player. I'm also sure that sitting on the bench for the last number of games watching us do well in his absence has hurt him and further damaged his confidence. Sometimes relationships just simply don't work. I think this is one of them. It's easy to say however that he is not in our plans but i think it will be very difficult to find a taker especially if we do go down. Who will want a sub from a relegated team who could not make any sort of impact during a match. SWPs future may be further afield in USA or UAE where he can continue to pick up big money and be a big fish in a little pond. It's a pity, his signing excited me, he has/had the ability, he just can't seem to produce it on the pitch anymore.
How the hell are we going to get rid of him, he is the PL version of Agyemang or Vine. So ridiculously overpaid for no return at all.
