Our noisy neighbours from League One have announced that, with debts of £13m, they could be set to enter administration. They have of coure already incurred the wrath of the authorities for their overspending this season, with a month-long transfer embargo being placed on the club in October. If a 10 point penalty were to be applied, they would drop from 5th to 14th, still 13 points clear of the drop.
Swindon really have been idiotic, spending more than they can afford. They should get more than a 10 point deduction as this would be the 3rd time they have entered administration in recent years.
excellent news ! cant stand swindon , being from Wiltshire it was very annoying to have hundreds of "swindon supporters" taking the mick when they beat us in league 1 , when none of those people gave a s*** about swindon before , swindon isnt a great supported club in terms of numbers but you should have seen the amount of swindon shirts being worn when they got to wembley ! ..
No hatred here. Swindon are just another club from the South doing pretty well on the pitch, at present, and more power to that end. I want clubs from the South doing well, and Swindon Town is certainly one of them. It would be a shame if they went into administration, but if they've over spent... well, naughty football club. However, which other clubs' fans wouldn't enjoy going along on the journey they are on. Hopefully, they can stay clear of the points deduction until it is certain they can't get themselves promoted, or until after they do.
Isn't that true of most small clubs though? When we went to Wembley we took at least 44000 and I am lead to believe we could have taken at least another 5000. I ask you though where is that extra 20000 or so during an average premier season? They have fair whether fans the same as we do.........
I agree, no animosity and we need more southern clubs doing well. I only have bad memmories of the county ground however, nice on a sunny day with no roof but terrible in the pouring rain. And we always lost to them!
Always sorry to hear a club is in trouble. We've been there and, although unlikely, how do we know that we are not overspending. They need a saviour, but it's a bad economical climate at the moment.
Good. Di Canio will probably disappear. Wouldn't be too surprised if the same happened to Bournemouth...
