all we've heard from the media this season is how "poor" or "average" this current Man united side are and how Man City are the overwhelming favorites for the title. Well , this "average" side are going back to the top of the league tonight if they beat Fulham with just 8 games remaining and a seemingly favorable schedule for the run-in. "you don't win anything with kids" ( Hansen ) , "none of the german players could get into the England team" ( Shearer ) , "Joe Cole is as good as Messi" ( Gerrard ) ... my point is we've heard it all before from some deluded minds in the english game and writing United off before the end of the calendar-year is just as laughable and ridiculous as the quotes above. I predict Manchester United to win #20 in may.
People love to write us off, i think its just wishful thinking on their part. Will be very sweet if we win the title this year, need 3 points tommorow for the fulham game first though.
My favourite one was when we finally knocked Mourinho and Chelsea off there perch. Before that I was becoming concerned about wether we would be able to stop them with all the money they were spending
This Utd team is average but English football In general is **** atm. Look at Europe. All teams destroyed anytime they've played anyone hand decent.
To be fair to Ciddy, they played very good football at the start of the season. They are still a threat and could still get the title. But all their internal issues have meant their form have suffered. May be they did not meet the top teams at the start and also it would have been unrealistic to expect them to continue their form throughout the season. I remember Chelsea having an amzing start to the season and by November all the media said we migth as well give them the title now. We haven't got the best United team ever but like recent United teams they know how to win (or at least challenge for) a league title.

This will have to be up there with the best titles won due to the fact many city fans thinking they had won the title a few weeks into the season. The injuries we have had this season has crippled us at times and yet we are now back at the top. Valencia being fit for the run in is a massive boost as this season (when fit) he has made big contributions to every game.
This. Although tbf many Newcastle fans thought they had the title in the bag by January 96. Ditto Arsenal fans in March 2003 and Liverpool fans in Xmas 2008. Always makes it sweeter when everyone writes us off

Don't write them off too soon. Remember, Liverpool are only ten or eleven world class players away from challenging for the title
Last year was sweet too, with United playing rubbish most of the time even when they were winning. This year United started so brightly, but with City as the main contender, it will definitely be the sweetest.
