Has Ibra announced his un-retirement from international football yet??

 

No and I don't think he will seeing as the coach has been saying how much better, as a team, we are playing with out him...

 

Sweden were there in Argentina in 78 and played Brazil in the famous last second goal which was disallowed by Welsh ref Thomas who blew up as the ball came over. He never did another international game.
Off the top of my head Sweden were in Japan/SKorea in 2002 and drew 1-1 with England, then again in Germany 2006 when they drew 2-2 with England.

 

By far their best World Cup (since losing to Brazil at home in the final) was 1994 when they came 3rd.

They've got a fairly decent record of qualifying.

 

Better than England in recent history then....We came 4th in 1990.

 

I would love to see Sweden go through, but will be tough ask in Italy.

 

He was quoted in a piece on the Beeb (Wed/Thurs?) that he wouldn't be changing his mind re. retirement if Sweden qualified ...... this IS Ibrahimovic though

 

It would be really funny if he announced his unretirement then didn't get selected

 

It would, I think that's part of why he won't - my guess is his ego couldn't handle a knock-back. A truly fantastic footballer but ...
