Off Topic Swear Filter spoofing

why do certain posters bother with spoofing the swear filter i.e. replacing a i with 1 . if you want to swear just swear for ****s sake there is nowt stopping you apart from some weird desire to ensure people who for whatever reason don't want to read obscenities do so.
don't know why but for some reason this really grates with me even though i have the swear filter set to Off

 

Yep, this annoys me too. I have the swear filter turned off so see swearing anyway but those that turn it on obviously don't want to see it.
