A few years ago, the circus came to town. It was the Moscow state circus. A load of the performers came to our local (there was even the sterotypical strong man with bald head and big moostash). We had a good old session, and some of the Russians came back to the house for an impromtu party.
Me and this Russian acrobat we glouriously drunk, and talking about football, even tho he couldn't speak a word of English, and my Russian stretches as far as 'da'. We communicated by drunken gestures and drawings on bits of paper. Suffice to say, by the early hours of the morning we were blood brothers, united by our love of the beautiful game and Leffe beer.
So much was my affection for my new freind, that I presented him with a gift - one of my Newcastle shirts (yellow and green away shirt with Greenalls logo, the one Liam O'Brien scored against the Mckems in. Not THE actual one) The next day, terribly hungover, I went to the cirus. Afterwards, my Russian mate felt honour bound to give me a gift in return. He insisted that I accepted an air rifle and a tin of pellets. (I'd rather have had the elephant, but I didn't really have the room)
So I was just wondering, has anyone esle swapped a Newcastle shirt or some other item of Newcastle memoribilia / merchandise for an unusually random item ?

Good article but I think you'll struggle to find many people on here who'll give away a toon shirt!

Have I just got incredible deja vu or did you post this on old 606?

Never given away toon shirt, couldn't bring myself to do it. If I ever get a foreign guest over though I'd buy them a scarf or something though :)

Extremely well spotted, that man! I did put this on the old 606, but if i remember rightly, it was modded after about 2 mins and no-one had a chance to reply, or maybe i got one reply - perhaps that reply could well have been yourself ??

Never given one away. I have a penchant for away shirts. I think the only home shirt's i own are the 95/96 one and the one with that ****ing shield on the back :emoticon-0119-puke:

Yeah, think I did comment, but then it got removed haha.

Wein14, that was one of the first kits I got... shield ruined it!
Also had the maroon/blue away kit from the late 90s (don't know what year). Quite liked it at the time, but looking back it was a wierd choice.
