I see Paul Clement has agreed to become the new Swansea manager. This appointment makes less sense than when they took on Bradley, as a Yank with no English managerial experience to be followed by a lad whose only experience here was an abject failure at Derby. Have they given up and are gearing up for the Championship next season and if so why go for a bloke whose already failed in that league, puzzling to say the least.
But I think that its a clear indication that there are not many options floating about. If David Moyes had walked or was sacked a few weeks ago it wouldnt have surprised me if we'd have getting him. I'm no expert when it comes to managers but who would we get if Moyes walked away tomorrow? Pardew??????
Think he had Derby at 5th mate when he got sacked. Totally unproven though which is good for us as cant see Swansea doing much for rest of season.
I think Huw Jenkins has had a wise hand in this as he was the architect of Swansea's rise some years ago when he appointed managers to play a certain style of football which he kept going via each appointment. The only two hiccups were Laudrup and Bradley and he soon got shot of them for one reason or another.
He was doing well at Derby but had 'different views' to the owner. He's a good shout for trying to get them back up next year.
1-2 Swans and a very tasty game. Sam looks more miserable than he did when starting with us. Hope he isn't dancing at season's end.
Keeps Palace well and truly in the mix, we need one or two more to come back towards the bottom three, plenty of time yet.
Yes I agree - Watford could easily be in the mix - it would be nice to see 6/7 teams shaking in their boots. Don't want another scenario where it's perm any 3 from 4 as was last season. Positive blood flowing again through this aging body lol. Just keep plugging away and take the odd unexpected game and we will claw our way out. KTF
They should have kept Monk, they panicked and he went, he is doing well at leeds. All them teams on about 24 points down are in trouble I reckon we will finish above Watford.
