for the life of me i couldn't watch the way they play week in week out it was bad enough just seeing it for 90mins, we got tactics spot on & let them play just outside there box & didn't push up too much or get frustrated in first half, 2nd half we pushed more up & closed them down & they had to result in playing some long balls, really on worried us at set pieces, ok they were poor but we made them look like that so credit to us.

On MOTD, Martin Keone actually used the phrase 'watching paint dry'. Made me chuckle as we (appropriately) sang that to them all night long!

Fair play to Rodgers. Apologised to his fans and agreed that it was a well deserved QPR win.

I also agree that if my team played like that week in week out, it would be hard to justify a season ticket!

I've said elsewhere they deserve credit for what they have done and it has ensured safety. However they don't appear to have a plan B and as teams find them out and counter their game they could be in real trouble next year unless they adapt and improve. Bit harsh to be too critical just yet as they may respond and deliver. They're certainly one of my favourite teams for the rest of the year (just look at their fixtures!!)

It would be ok if it had an end product, if they patiently and confidently could knock the ball around until the killer pass was on, then it would be great, but as many have said, we played it spot on. We held our shape and did our individual jobs whilst they wore the turf out in their half and when they came forward we hit them hard and fast, moved forward directly and efficiently and looked dangerous at will.
Still buzzing from last night, didn't even make it to bed as the best option seemed to be to watch motd and then our game in full. Woke up this morning, still sitting, still dressed - boots an all, cold, headache from shouting, but on a sooper dooper hooper high.

Swansea need to buck up their ideas, their next three games are Blackburn, Bolton & Wolves so there's a big part to play in the relegation battle and if they capitulate under pressure like last night it won't do us any favours...

I disagree their base brand of football is superb and given a couple of flair players upfront they are a top ten team

Credit where credit is due ... its this simple we were better prepared and contained them with ease ... they knocked that ball around very well ... and i can't knock that as it breeds one thing confidence ... they just haven't the quality up front yet ... we are talking about Danny Graham . as for the water carrier Britton .. outstanding player and makes them tick ... he went off it fell apart ... But I admit i was singing the paint song

I expect them to bounce back and beat these teams with ease they haven't the patience we have shown and the Swansea will eat them

Nothing wrong in the possession football that they play - but last night they didn't really go for it. I think the feeling of safety given their points total has caused them to become complacent and not work for the win.

Agreed. With 4 lost on the spin and some clear problems emerging with their style our rivals must be lapping up the prospect of 3 relatively easy points. It's to be hoped that Rogers is given them a right pasting this morning. I know we played well and were really well organized but without some rejuvenation it's hard to see how Swansea would do anything other than look for draws here on in.

They are the worst team to watch in the league and I include Stoke in that.

They try to get a 0-0 in every game unless the other team throw too many forward and then they try to him them on the pass.

They literally try to bore teams into submission. Awful, awful side to watch, its like we were under Sousa.

They are major influencers of the relegation battle then! I think we were lucky to play them before the others. Last night was a wake up call to BR and crew and they will not be so easy next time, especially if at The Liberty. Good news for us.

Fact is they got something right and we didnt this season...now i have this theory !!!

When a promoted team gets up, they always create a few shocks, because the defenders havent played against the strikers, midfield etc..we've seen this so manby time with teams.
Kevin phillips in the perfect example..he gets (got) teams promoted and kept them in contention for the season...prob was..afte a few games against sunderland etc...the prem defenders had worked him uot.and down thy went...

So my theory is this..keep things fresh..no team in the land can handle zamo and cisse..and by the time they can we have 2 diffrent strikers....its not hard.all those of you who played know that after a/ afew seasons of playing the same players, you could read them..this is here MH earns his keep.! We sell and get new players in etc...

HOLD ON..is this the ManUre bussiness model?!!

so what is so diffrent about swansea and Barca then ? (tin hat on)

The difference? Barca attack constantly, Swansea pass along the back 4 and to their keeper constantly.

Half the swans seem to look back for the safe pass before they look forward for the aggressive pass. For me they just need to reverse that, they have the speed and potential up front but they don't get the ball, until the defence is organised around them. Players like Sinclair, Routledge, Dyer want to run onto the ball not have it given to the statically all the time, they give teams way too much time to organised.

I think it wouldn't take much to change this around and hopefully they will have learnt from this beating and can now go forward getting lots of wins from the rest of the season!!!!!!!!!

Swansea were really, really boring and I certainly wouldn't spend my season ticket money (two lots) on that brand of football. Even my wife made the "watching paint dry" comment. Sure they make lots of easy passes but there was no end product. In contrast, our passing was quick, incisive and creative.

    Great tactics, Mark.
