He has a point. UTD at OT is a little different.

I know it's just gamesmanship on his part, but it does make him look like an ignorant oink doesn't it? Can you imagine any other manager come up with a quote like that? (except for warnock obviously).

I would love it if we beat Man u and man city still blow it. Love it!!!

If Mancini doesn't win the title , it will be on his shoulders for the handling of Tevez . How soon he forgot how well Tevez did for Man City last season . Mancini got a few quality players in & thought he could sh#t all over Carlos , bit of a backfire IMO

Bollocks. 'Carlos' is a total tool even though he's brilliant.

He's as brilliant as they come IMO ... Mancini sat him purposely to make a fool of him then tried to bring him on late in a game when things were souring for Man City .. undeserved IMO after his awesome season last year . I thing 10 times less of Mancini than I do of Tevez !

Whether if it's mind games or not it's very disrespectful to another PL team for a manager to come out with comments like that.

Didn't really care who won the league but after that i hope it's Utd.

I can imagine that its all gamesmanship on his part and I don't think any malice is meant in it. Now I personally think, whether its blind optimism or a sixth sense, that we can beat United on Sunday, City will beat Newcastle and with that lovely big perfect pitch and that much pressure i think they will buckle.......but in theory it should be an easy game for them so no one can really have a pop at Mancini.

Just had a quick look back...the last newly promoted team to get anything from Old Trafford was Man C who drew with them 1-1 in the 02/03 season and the last newly promoted team to beat them at Old Trafford was Bolton, 1-0, in 01/02 season. (For the fan of omens they too were promoted via the play offs :) ) and before them was Boro, 3-2 in 1998!!! (for a bit of perspective Joey Allen was 8!!)

I still think we'll sneak it though lol

I'll take that with a big pinch of salt. Mancini is just sending this massage out to our lads and prove him wrong, gamesmanship. Guess he's doing Brendan's team talk for us.

    Swans win for me!!

It's a pathetic attempt at mind games. Does he really think Swansea will pick themselves up more because of those comments. Laughable

Don't get this. The player refused to come on for a game - unheard of as far as I know - then buggered off to Argentina and played golf for £200,000 a week then went on chat shows ridiculing his team and manager, claiming he'd been 'treated like a dog'. The bitter Argies particularly enjoyed his vile attack on Manchester, saying there was only one restaurant in the city and that it rained all the time. They lapped it up.

Mancini behaved with great dignity imo and whereas both he and I agree that Tevez would probably have made a real difference we disagree on the course of action following his return. I for one would seriously have considered letting him rot in the reserves but then almost certainly kissed goodbye to the title and got the sack.<laugh>

It's the crap that Mancini put his co Premier scoring Champion from the previous season through up until the so called refusal that's at issue for me aussie . Mancini & dignity in the same sentence makes the hair on my neck stand up . I hate Man U so much I'm hoping for Man city for the title , but if City don't make it then having Mancini look the fool is a good consolation for me ... Cheers aussie

It may be gamesmanship, but it's totally disrespectful. Had he of said we were beatable or something, fair enough, but easy, not on. I hope Toon hit them for 6!!!

Whilst I agree that he's a complete tool and doesn't deserve to play for them again I do believe that he received no pay whilst he was away. That was one of the reasons it was suggested he came back, as he'd lost something like £5m in wages.

Wouldn't read too much into Mancini's comments he's just trying to play Fergie at his own game but doesn't have the knack.

Tevez has started the last 4 League games & Man City have won them all in the revival toward the title . Previous to that he started 1 League game , 1 League Cup game , 0 FA Cup & 0 European games out of 49 games . 4 goals & 3 assists in 5 League starts & a few subs .......Mancini is an idiot , suddenly he has his nose so far up Tevez's arse , it's hard to tell where his nose ends & Tevez's arse begins . Nobody really knows the real deal between Tevez's & Mancini's bust up but were talking about a player who carried Man City last season & Mancini sat him to show he picked up great players & Carlos wasn't needed ... seems to need him these days !!
