    Swansea Sitty

    vs.

    Redding

    Venew: Libutty Stadium

    Kick-off 3am

    Sattaday 6th Octoeba 2012

HELP!!!! I’m locked in the cubbad under the stares. I’ll tell you how it happened. Down at the Stag & Dalek last night I was talking to this bloke at the bar called Terry who is a Redding fan. He’s an ex-marine with tattoos up both arms “I love the Royals”. He couldn’t get a ticket for Sattaday’s game and was really pi$$ed off. I told him I was a season-ticket holder. He asked me where I lived so I told him and he wrote the address down. I didn’t know why he was writing it down. Anyway, I was having my tea today when a man in a balaclava burst in and he had a gun. It looked like a plastic toy gun but I wasn’t sure like. And he had “I love the Royals” tattood on his arms!

He said “Give me your season ticket for the Swans or you’re history”. So I gave him the season ticket coz I didn’t want to be history (although I did like history at school). He bundled me into the cubbad under the stares and said he’d come back on Sattaday evening and let me out. He said I could have my laptop to pass the time.

So if any of you guys live near me could you come round and let me out coz I’m really hungry now. I live at 37 Hi

<<Your internet connection has been lost. Please try again later>>

    ***********2 days later***************

Don’t panic guys, it’s OK!!! Fortunately, Auntie Betty came round this morning with this weeks copy of Trainspotting Monthly and she heard me banging on the cubbad door and she let me out. Phew!

    Did you know.....??

This is the bit where I give you an interesting fact which you might not know :)

Did you know that Swansea beat Redding 4-2 at Wembley in May 2011 in the play-off final and got promoted to the Premier Leeg? I didn’t know that.

    Did you know.....?? No.2

Did you know that all the people on University Challenge come from Redding??

At the start they introduce themselves:

Hi, I’m Marmaduke Campbell-Bannerman Reading *****lian Poetry in the 14th Century

or hi, I’m Annabel Fortescue-Smythe Reading Particle Physics and Politics.

    The Redding Stadium

Tarquin was telling me about the Redding Stadium the other day. He says it’s called the Maday Ski Stadium. Apparently it has a gradient of 1 in 2 and there’s a drag lift up the side and snow cannons. He says the Swans players will have to go up the drag lift with the ball and the Redding players try and knock them off by firing snow balls out the snow cannons. Well, it sounds fun, a bit like It’s a Knockout.

Have you seen that giant wind turbine next to the M4 near the Maday Ski Stadium. The power from it helps charge up the Redding players before a game because they all run on batteries.

    My predikshan

    Swans 6 Redding 0

    Mr G.

this is a must win game because we cant afford to lose again at home that will put us in serious trouble with 4 losses on the trot......Im praying for a win but as confidence is very low im going for a 1-1 draw....

With the state of both teams' defences it looks like a goalfest. My confident prediction then is a 0 - 0 draw.

3-0 to us. One week on. Another week for Ki to bed in. Hopefully a week in which our fitness struggles have eased. Who plays at left back? Looking for a stronger outing from Ash - we need, he needs it.

I beleive we can get a win. my prediction will be 3-2 to the swans who just about hold on to win.

The reason why im not so keen on prem football is because every single game is a "must win" or there are games you target for points more than others, i do find it alot more stressful watching us in the prem league compared to any other division weve been in. The highs are great and the losses painful but the media focus and the presure of just trying to get 40 pts is immense, anyway enough rambling on ..<laugh>

    swans to win..just <ok>

    Well done Mr. Gullible.
Good to have a serious scholar of the game make a contribution for a change.

Must win game. I think we'll play very well and hopefully score a few...we're creating loads, we're due some good finishes.

I think we'll *just* edge it. If we don't, I think we're in for a rough season ahead.

4-2. Swans to bounce back in style, but still with a suspect defence. It's a must-win match though. Laudrup should be considering his position if we lose 4 on the trot.

I would stick with Laudrup for at least another season even if we get relegated. He's a massive asset for this club IMO and he will need time to get used to UK football. Anyway if we finish too high up in the table he'll no doubt get poached like Rodgers and we'll be back to square one again not at a time of our choosing either I would guess. I'm hoping for a finish between 12th and 17th.

If Laudrup does well this season then i beleive he will at least see out his contract,IMO it will also come down to how his family intergrate into our city/part of the world. Results may well dictate his thinking if they are poor, then he would probably decide to walk away from it.

Today will tell us alot about our prospects, reading will try and target our weak defence but im hoping we will give them too much to think about at the other end for them to worry about troubling us!!
Tuning into TV2 Sumo in 5 mins and have a nice bottle of Red wine to calm my nerves! watcing the games on TV is a far worse experience than actually being there but beggers cant be choosers i guess

As i said earlier, im going for us to just edge it and gain 3pts,with every game we play i m hoping we can get more understanding between the new guys and the regulars, i also hope we start with routledge, pablo to come on at about 70mins when the pressure is off would be far better IMO <ok>

If all our players hit the straps we can win this well. If......

I suspect that we might struggle for confidence, though, and end up edging it by just the odd goal. A draw wouldn't surprise me either but it is vital that we don't lose and that we get a goal to end the drought.

It's annoying having to write this because there is undoubted talent in our squad and when they all click I can see us sticking another 5 on some team. It would be nice if it was today.
