    <cheers>

    Already put my two penneth in. Think we'll lose this one because of the loss of Bony & Michu, coupled with the fact that the Toon are playing well. Wish I could say otherwise.

    All good things come to an end though mate and for me... a win may be a bridge too far.

    Did you watch tonight's game, the only difference was the fact they can spend all that money on players who have that touch of class to make a difference on the major chances. The certain actions you have been moaning about as regards to our purchase of Bony.

    On another day we would have come away with a point on that effort. We know you don't like Laudrup that much, but even a deluded fan such as yourself can surely see we played bloody well tonight, and the scoreline didn't really reflect the game.

    To someone who hasn't a clue about football, yes, but to any real fan of the game, they will notice how much better the team performed, that we had upped the tempo in the first half, yes the second half we dropped off a bit, but we looked like a team, rather than individual players, they just caught us with 2 individual errors and a good 3rd.

    But feel free to focus only on the scoreline as anyone who has a 1 dimensional view on the game would. Just proves to us how narrow minded you are.

    Dai did you watch it? First half we were the better team. Remember what ManC did to Spurs, Norwich, Manu, CSKA Moscow.

    Honestly some people on here lately need a reality check. No team can hope to win all their games - e.g. see the Hull - Liverpool scoreline. The way some people are sticking the boot in on this forum, you'd swear we were near the bottom of Leagues 2.

    Get a grip and stop behaving like spoilt poodles. We win some, we lose some, it's still our team so why not cut out the self pity?

    keep thinking that son as we slip further into trouble...you will learn about football one day...<ok> excuses come cheap and we hear them nearly after every game...the squad is too small and the manager is crap,it is as plain to see as that..

    Ok if we think about it your way, that only the fact we lost 3-0 matters, then we only have to worry about finishing 18th, as both Norwich and Spurs let in 7 and 6, so will finish worse than us <doh> Oh wait, Newcastle let in 4, as did United, so we are alright afterall, nothing to worry about aye Dai.

    Last I checked we were 13th, still 7 teams worse off than us, so stop being so bloody dramatic all the time, and support the team instead of moaning all the time. So if you think we are bad, just thank your lucky stars you don't support the 7 teams below us, you would go into proper melt down being below the woeful swans.

    If we lose three nil to title contenders, then I suppose losing 3-1 to Hull is cannon fodder?

    So many holes to pick in your theory Dai.

    You only sneak out of the woodwork after we lose, hardly heard a peep out of you after the Fulham game, wonder why that is.

    The scoreline flattered them Dai. We were missing 5 key players. With Vorm, Rangel, Leon, Michu and Bony playing we could have at least got something out of that match today.

    Just interested to see if you guys would trade off your European adventure for say an extra 6-9 points in the league? We struggled massively last year due to the Europa League and it seems you're encountering some of the problems we had.

    I'm coming up on Wednesday and looking forward to the game. Mid-week atmosphere's are always decent. Good luck for the season (after Wednesday) <ok>

    It's a shame than you essentially get punished for finishing 5th or winning a cup. Financially the Europa League doesn't allow you to build a squad capable of competing on both fronts, Thursday to Sunday is just too quick a turnaround.

    Teams such as Newcastle & Swansea simply don't have four top strikers and four top central defenders etc which are needed to cope with both competitions.

    An injury to Remy and we are very lightweight up top, much like yourselves at the moment due to the Michu and Bony injuries.

    Is Michu likely to be back on Wednesday???

    We have won just 4 premier league games in 4 months? That's just 1 game a month? things need to change big time, or we are going to be swallowed up at the business end of the season, where our players don't do well historically anyway!...............<ok>

    Yes we've had a bad result but it was expected and after watching that game I have to say I was well impressed with the way we played, particularly first half. It's poor finishing that cost us, but City's keeper had to make two excellent saves from Shelvey - who was fab - so I may have revise my prediction for Wednesday. Maybe a draw.

    If we get nothing from hull and Newcastle then we will officially in a battle for survival . Until then there is no point in getting too worried.

    This time next week things may be a lot rosier,they may not . I'd be more worried if we wernt creating anything and playing crap every week. The problem is the rotation of the players,changing half a team every game is something the big 4 struggle with let alone us.

    We are getting 45 min performances and patchy displays,it's almost like we are just on the verge of hitting form,I agree this needs to happen sharpish but I can understand the problems.

    We are recovering from games when we need to be training together,spending less time on the training ground is having a big effect IMO .

    I would prefer us to ditch Europa if we fail to get anything from hull and Newcastle , having injuries,much less prep time and disjointed displays will need to stop if we are in a battle to stay up,injuries we can't do anything about but the other things we can.

    It's a very fine line and has been since we got here,nothing has changed there apart from fans expectations.

    If we go down then so be it, there isn't much more we can do different,we won't purchase a big squad and pay big transfers and wages ,we cut our cloth accordingly so what ever happens on that front I'm comfortable with.

    The alternative is to spend and gamble,we all don't won't that to happen,we have built a great legacy and will come again if the worst happens.

    Let's remember a few seasons back when being a yo yo club was going to be the path to follow,like west broom for example,they ve been down plenty of times but bounced back because they are well run off the field just like us.

    Newcastle is massive so is hull but let's just get behind the team,they need us backing them 100% in these next few months.
    <ok>

    Coys ;)
