Another midweek game and this week it is the long trip across the country and into Wales, Swansea are our next opponent. Saturday saw a return to winning ways with a more concervative and considered approach before scoring with less risk taking. Scoring first then allowed the game to open up with Birmingham having to come out of their shell which allowed more space for our attackers. This is the formula that works best for us on the evidence so far in my opinion. Swansea are currently in 19th with 9 points from 2 wins and 3 draws, but they come into this one off the back of back to back 3-0 wins which have come from a change in formation to a 3-1-4-2 formation. Positive vibes!!! On The Ball City!!!
Can't see any change in defence or midfield, but who plays behind the striker could change. Wagner now sees Gibbs being best suited to playing there and he's training with the strikers now, so that would be my guess, with Idah up front.
The only potential changes I could think of would be Batth for Gibson, Forshaw for Rowe/Placheta to allow Sara to move into the 10. Hwang in for Idah? All about managing work load rather than anything to do with their performances
Interesting lineup! Didnt see Springett getting a look in?! Been throughly average when Iv seen him this season... albeit from cameos. Hopefully, he can show a bit more tonight!
Yes, otherwise I'm really confused. Maybe it should be Ui-Jo up top, Sara moving forwards, and Forwshaw next to Kenny.
There's more to come from this lineup IMO. Get the ball to JR more often and let him take it forward.
