Win the home game, then steal a goal or 2 away on counterattacks, like the way Swans won at Emirates last season. But it will be difficult for sure.
^^^^ I'm glad there is at least one Jack with his brain in gear! Well observed, and anything can happen of course, but Napoli will be massive favourites with the bookies, and rightly so!................
Probably not as difficult though, Napoli did prove to be not quite there for Champs League post group stage so playing Arsenal would be more difficult. Saying that though, Arsenal would knock 4 against us in a single match
Not a question of having a brain or even having it in gear. If anyone said we'd be favourites I'd agree with you because that's crazy. Its a question of having a little faith. If we all thought like you Phil we'd take a grand total of zero away fans to the away fixture. Not good.
Anyway... isn't it great we're talking about little old Swansea playing Napoli? Who'd have thought? We might argue about faith or being a realist but then again we could be deluded. Hilts on the Cardiff board has said "Liverpool I see as beatable. They were all over the place at set pieces in the CC Final at the end. Getting those corners etc will be the difficult part." **** me.
I hate when some people confuse realism... for pessimism! If you expect the worst, you'll never be disappointed? The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds; and the pessimist fears this is true. The man who is a pessimist before 48 knows too much; if he is an optimist after it he knows too little I will be the first to admit that I am a pessimist by nature. It is, after all, the wisest way to be. We pessimists have everything to gain, whereas optimists have a fifty-fifty chance of being disappointed I don't believe in pessimism. If something doesn't come up the way you want, forge ahead. If you think it's going to rain, it will. And on that note knackered I'll get my umbrella.........................
I agree - it's just a person's nature one way or t'other. But it's interesting that you're a pessimist but you don't believe in pessimism. Confused.com
Look on the bright side; we go out in a glamour tie rather than stumbling out to some crap team from Belarus while getting a ton of injuries.
