    Premier League
    Saturday, 31 October, 15:00
    Liberty Stadium

The Swans entertain Arsenal on Saturday having got back to winning ways with a hard fought victory against Aston Villa last Saturday.

Arsenal went top of the Premier League for the first time since February 2014 as headers from Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny gave them victory over Everton. However, Man City's draw in the derby against United meant that Arsenal fell to second position in the PL, albeit on goal difference.

The Swans did the double over the Gunners last season and will be hoping to maintain that winning sequence.

    Head-to-head

    • Swansea did the league double over Arsenal last season for the first time since the 1981-82 season.
    • They are undefeated in their last three league meetings with the Gunners (W2, D1).
    Swansea

    • Swansea ended a five-match winless league run with their victory against Aston Villa last weekend.
    • The Swans have not won a home league game since August (D2, L1).
    • They and Arsenal have both hit the woodwork six times in the league this season - more than any other Premier League club.
    • Bafetimbi Gomis has been caught offside 21 times in the Premier League this season, 10 more than any other player.
    • Gylfi Sigurdsson has scored (16) or assisted (14) 30 goals in 60 Premier League appearances for Swansea.
    Arsenal

    • Arsenal have won four consecutive league games, and six of their last seven.
    • They have scored 1999 goals in all competitions under Arsene Wenger.
    • The Gunners have only lost one of their last 11 Premier League away games (W9, D1).
    • Arsenal and opponents Swansea have both used 19 players this season, the fewest in the division.
    • Olivier Giroud has scored in four of his last five appearances for Arsenal in all competitions.
    • Mesut Ozil has provided a league-high seven goal assists this season.

    I'm going for a 1-1 draw

An ideal fixture to show the "Swansea Way" hasn't been totally lost. Villa was an improvement on the Stoke game and the Swans will have to step up another gear to come anywhere near the Gunners.

Arsenal are on fire in the league and will want revenge for the double we did last season. I can see us under the cosh for most of the game like we usually are but as long as we can stop them playing their normal game then as usual we have a very good chance of getting something on the break.... What that something is who knows.....for a guess ill go 2-2....

Sorry Dai but no way will we be under the cosh, matter of fact I'm so confident that I'm going to predict a 2-1 win to the Swans, could even be 3-1, we are they're bogey team...... <cheers>

Arsenal just lost 3-0 in the cup. Made 9 changes but lost Walcott and Ox in first 20mins.

Chelsea got stuffed tonight by Stoke, Hazard missed a penalty, he was distracted by a ball boy apparently!!...... <laugh>

If we play well , we may get a point , if we don't play well....well it could be ugly.Good game to make changes and have a look .Id bring in Britton , Tabanou with Shelvey on the bench ready for subbing.Ki in the middle.Id like to sit Gomis but he does seem to be better playing better teams .We won't get a lot of chances so I hope Gomis doesn't nullify 2.3 chances for being offside and they get the ball and we fall back.

An injured Arsenal squad and a huge game against Bayern a few days later might make Wenger wary about losing a Sanchez to injury.

But doing the double on him last season might nullify that.

It's always going to be a tough one, it's time for our boys to nut up or shut up, we usually raise the bar against the top teams, if not I can see us losing by at least a 3 goal margin.

Looks as if Arsenal will be without Ramsey, Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain as others have mentioned, which should increase our chances of getting something.

What's the most likely result? 20% Swansea win, 35% draw, 45% Arsenal win maybe. Will depend on how quiet we can keep Sanchez.

So what your saying is we have a 55% probability of coming away with at least a point? :)

I'll have what Phil is smoking. <laugh>

Depends what Swans team turns up I think. If it's the team that rises to the challenge of playing better opposition, that go all out to play crisp, fast, attacking football then we could nick this.

If it's the team we've witnessed over the past couple of months we'll get mullered. Unfortunately, I'm in a pessimistic mood so I'm going 0-3. <sorry>

I'd take that prediction , I think the pressures more on Arsenal than ourselves , they are in good place at the moment and this season could be one of the better opportunities for them to win the league .For ourselves then a good 90 minute performance is what I'd like to see. :emoticon-0148-yes:

We havent had more than a 2 goal margin when losing yet and cant see that changing against the Gunners. 1-1 if we play well 0-2 if not

I see where your coming from, but in the last game I saw green shoots of recovery, plus we will be able to be our passing selves against Arsenal, and with their midfield decimated it's looking good for Ki and Siggy to have a field day, with Ayew to get on the score sheet first, and if the Gunners come at as full throttle then we will murder them with the spaces behind, KTF lads we will overcome......... <cheers>

Let's hope the team are smoking the same as me aye!....... <laugh>
