If you hear anything on the grapevine, feel free to add it here. We are entering silly season now, exciting times ahead and hopefully this thread will put a minimum to duplicate topics. To kick us off.... Swansea interested in Bournemouth's Harry Arter?! http://www1.skysports.com/football/...orwich-eye-Bournemouth-midfielder-Harry-Arter
Arter??? Are you having a bloody laugh! I've been going to Bournemouth games regularly for a while and trust me, Arter isn't prem quality though he's been great for the Cherries...that story must be bollocks, but then the press always seem to be lazy with us and assume we don't have any ambition!
I'll tell you what, he's a good League 1 player. Scored a great goal against Carlisle. I think he will thrive in the Championship. But PL? And for Swansea? No way I do like seeing him play with former Swan Shaun MacDonald in midfield though. Unsurprisingly MacDonald is probably the best passer in the team.
He scored a cracker against someone on a cold Tuesday night in the JPT once, but that was about as Zidane-esque as he ever got! Back on the topic of players we've been linked to; we were linked to Bradley Johnson recently, were we not? He has the worst passing accuracy of any central midfielder in the Premier League. No thanks! http://i.imgur.com/TMH0ptG.png
Heard a rumour yesterday that we have already got 3 high profile players who.have nigh on signed for the swans. was told that the three are players that you would never think would be with us.
wellMessi would have to try to displace Michu and how could ronaldo force schechter out? We need to aim higher than that!
Couldn't get anymore info out of them but apart from them being players that we would never think of seeing in a swansea shirt. torres and vermaelen for Williams ?
I'm hoping for; Lukaku, Aspas, Ince, Canas, another centre mid who can score (possibly De Guzman) and 2 centre-halfs (1 young loanee and 1 challenging Chico and Ash)....if this were to happen I'd feel confident going into any game regardless of the first XI. In reality this is unlikely to happen but I'm sure Laudrup will have some nice surprises for us regardless.
Get rid of; Tate, Agustien, Gower, Schecter, Lita Possibly get shot of (if the budget requires); Bartley, Jazz, Lamah/a winger, Moore.
Arsenal agree terms with Ashley Williams: http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892...y-defender-williams-agrees-terms-with-arsenal
Brown Ideye - Nigerian Striker playing for Dinamo Kiev; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideye_Aide_Brown Maynor Figueroa - Honduran Centre-back who can cover left-back, wealth of Premier League experience at Wigan; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maynor_Figueroa Mauricio Isla - Versatile 24 year old Chilean who currently plays for Juventus (an extremely unlikely Swans signing then!). Plays mainly up the right....right-back or right wing....but can play centre-midfield also; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauricio_Isla Balazs Dzsudzsak - Hungarian winger playing in Russia with good experience in Holland (2008-2011) ; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balázs_Dzsudzsák Alexander Mitrovic - Young Partizan Belgrade striker
It's Aspas, Canas and Jonny Williams. We knew about Canas who is sorta high profile, Aspas is getting very high profile for his work rate and ability to provide assists on top of scoring, while Jonny Williams is the only one nobody thought would be possible. *If only, yeah?
Don't tease Jonny Williams Project. Have we spent any of the £15 million we had for Allen? If not and Crystal Palace don't win the play off I would use all of that money and buy him as he has the potential to be a world class player.
