According to the latest betting we're more likely to finish in top 6 (10-1) than being relegated (16-1). Around 66-1 to finish top 4. It's looking good.
2500-1 to win the league with Bet 365. Only 750-1 with Coral....... must be worth a tenner with Bet365. Coral are obviously worried lmfao !!! Seriously though....Anything we can do to rub Robbie Savage nose in it the better....so how about a sweepstake for which match we get to the 40 point mark. Mine is the Hull game April 4th, with still 7 games to go.....
My prediction Man u, 6 pts Man c, 0 pts Chelsea, 0 pts Liverpool 1pts Tottenham, 3 pts Arsenal, 3 pts Southampton, 4 pts Newcastle, 6 pts Chelsea, 0 pts Sunderland, 6 pts Palace 6 pts Leicester 4 pts QPR 6 pts Burnley 6 pts Everton 1pts Hull 4 pts Stoke 3 pts West Ham 3 pts A Villa 6pts 21W- 5D- 12L 68 pts 7th last season
I like your optimism swan, 7 doublers.....wow....that must be close to Europa league qualification form. My view is that anything to get us top ten would be fantastic, so 50 points would do it I think.
Sorry but you're getting carried away imo. Man U - least said the better but they're poor right now. Burnley newly promoted and a poor Baggies side not featuring many of their new signings. Yes we've done brilliantly so far but I think 10th -ish again and that would be fine by me. Safety again and no Euro competition.
I hope you are referring to Swan and not me. I only said I am wishing / hoping for top ten finish, which you seem to agree with.
And Man City had an easy game against Stoke - a definite 3 points. So why are you always making out that we're no good. We've won 4 games this season. We have the best defensive record in PL, with only 1 goal conceded. We are the third highest goalscorers. What's all this rubbish you talk about us having easy games. You think the Man U game was easy? Give it a rest and support the team. They have done exceptionally well.
I am hoping for a top half finish, I also think that Man Utd would have started a lot stronger if we didnt beat them and ruin their confidence. I would love a good cup run too
Lets have another look at this after the next 3 games. Chelsea, Southampton and Sunderland. Then after 3 harder games will be a little easier to judge. Whilst the results have been excellent, it is hard to judge how good or bad the opposition were.
Lets just keep our feet on the floor, take one game at a time, and every week do our bit and get behind the team
**** it I'm enjoying it! I know it's a bit far fetched, but not impossible. I think we're as good as Southampton and could replicate their form of last season!
Definitely confident of a decent League season which we could see as 1) 100% win rate and best start for 91 years and beat ManU 2) Played three poor teams 2a) WBA has been a points fest for us in recent years, 2b) were 'lucky' to beat Barnsley who were the equivalent of Cardiff last season 2c) Man U, who we beat up there last season and finished 7th (so not a top 6 team) have since drawn 2 and got hammered by a league 1 team. 3) In 3 of our 4 games we have fallen off in the second half. Given the the increased spend in transfers and wages we should be aiming for around 50 - 55 points and a place 8th and 11th
Plastic: I was at the game so I do "support the team" and have done for many many years. Do you? You're not DragonPhil by any chance are you? Secondly, "So why are you always making out that we're no good." I have made these comments about our team over the last couple of weeks: "We were awesome" "We were excellent" "Monk deserves credit" "We've been saying how great we played and rightly so" "Siggy was excellent" "Amat dealt with everything" "Dyer and Routledge were immense" So your comment is complete and utter ****e. You received a ban recently for winding people up here so I suggest you rethink your approach to the forum. I was merely pointing out, as was pembroke - that we have to keep our feet on the ground. You cannot dispute that Man U are poor at the mo. You cannot dispute that Burnley are newly promoted and you cannot dispute that most of the Baggies new signings didn't play. I reiterate - as you seem to be a little slow - you can only beat what is put in front of you and so far we've been excellent and Monk deserves enormous credit for that - but imo we haven't had a really big test yet so let's see where we are after ten games.
Delete 2 , 2a, 2b, 2c, and 3 please Bob or we'll rename you Mr Grumpy ! I bet you frown upon people celebrating passing their driving test coz there little chance of them winning the Formula 1 championship.... make the most of it guys....we all seriously know where we have a chance of being...and thats not top six....but maybe with luck and skill and good tactics and good stewardship a top ten finish.. Hell we all know the wheels coul d in theory come off at any time...but why worry about that if it hasnt happended yet....have a pint on me...
Me, Grumpy??? I'm not that 'kin happy Just listing the extremes fro reference. I'm in the middle - great start, still progress to be made, we have played very well in parts but has to be said we've not really been tested. Who replaces Ki if he's injured?
So we win 3 in a row, in the top 4 atm, 6 goals, conceded only 1, playing some excellent football, defensively solid but none of that matters because we have beaten poor sides
Who said 'none of it matters'? Certainly not me. Just pointing out some unequivocal facts. But I do resent being accused of "not supporting the team" and that I'm "always saying we're no good"
