Hope he's good enough to knock Tate from the existing keeper position ( yikes )

Apparently he´s eyeing up the England goalkeeper spot! Can't say I've ever been that impressed by him, but then again I haven't seen that much of him...

It's his name that puts me off - a sort of cross between a leech and a cockroach .....

aswan - 100% agreed, worst nightmare that!

I don't think anyone, apart from the Watford fans, can give us a true, informed comment about his general goalkeeping. It's all well and good looking at highlights/lowlights, but it's the bread and butter stuff that we need our new keeper to do with confidence. I know that Watford let in a lot of goals this year, but whether it was down to him or his defence is the question.

we need better than him, we need someone that is better than dorus and seeing as dorus was in the top two of best championship keepers last season then we need a lot better than a mediocre championship keeper,

I went to have a look on the Watford board, and most of the comments were pretty negative and "we'd bite your hand off for the cash" stylee... although a few more sensible sounding people said he's clearly got talent but had a bad year last year. Sounds quite like De Vries, actually, from what they said of him!

Probably a number 2 to the polish guy, it's all speculation though, feel sorry for watford fans, they seem to be asset stripped of everything of value they have, they are going to struggle big time next season.

I quite like Loach tbh, solid keeper that is just itching to prove himself. Watford were all attack last year and he had no help at the back, hopefully he'd do better with Ash in front of him.

Him and Sandomierski and I'll be quite happy with our depth at keeper.

Can we really afford to spend 5mil on 2 keepers though?! Seems silly business to me... I'd much rather buy someone established for 5mil and then get someone young on loan... don't ask who the established 5million keeper would be, but give me a while and I'm sure I could find a suitable name!

Generally you find you get a pretty accurate opinion of players from the fans who watch week in week out, concerns me that Hornets would willingly part with their goalkeeper so I'd steer clear if I were Brendan.

Remember years ago when we signed Aiden Newhouse the Fulham fans were ecstatic that he was leaving and that we actually paid money for him and we soon found out why!

If they are happy to get rid of him then we should take this as a warning, they should have a scout trawlling the forums, if they had then no one was listening to the West Brom fans regarding Beattie and Moore lol

On about fans opinions, has anyone read the BBC article on Yeovil, the manager has asked fans to twitter him players names as they have no real scouting program there. I thought it was brilliant

Loach was tipped to go to Spurs or Liverpool a couple of years ago when he was playing for the England U21s.
Seemed to have lost his way, maybe worth a punt.
