This one has been around since we won at Wembley lol I said it then and i'll say it now, i hope its true as the lad is good and has the potential to be brilliant. Think its more likely to happen now though given the signing chelsea made in midfield towards the end of the last transfer window, would like to see a midfielder brought in though with a bit of bite to his game, especially for away games. I know we have Agustien but there is no real back up in the squad for him

Agreed Dan. It's hard to filter out the truth from all the "Rodgers - Chelsea" stories that inevitably get dredged up, but this time I've a better feeling about it. Multiple sources all appearing at the same time... seems like someone knows something we don't.

I'll believe it when I see it, there is a long time until January and others may come in for him, maybe qpr or Fulham and he doesn't even need to leave London

True that, but we play better football? Villas-Boas knows Rodgers (I'm aware this has all been said before about other players who ultimately went on loan elsewhere) and might fancy letting Josh have a chance in the Premiership in a good footballing team. Bolton are good (I use them as an example as they've had Wilshire and Sturridge on loan), but he'd probably learn more about a relevant style of football with us.

    Lads <ok>.

Have to say, I'd rather he went to Swansea than anyone. We have a good link between the clubs and he's more likely to suit your style of play and get more games than anywhere else.

This may sound a bit daft, but i think josh s girlfriend is big mates with scott sinclairs ,they are both corrie actresses , it may be another link that will help push a deal to us . I also think that josh would prefer to play proper football and learn from a good coach like rodgers, the way brenden was embraced by john terry and frank lampard shows that he is held in high regard by the chelsae boys and josh may well be swayed by the fact terry and lampard rate rodgers.

Our midfield dynamics has never been the same since that game against Birmingham, when Ferrie Bodde went off on long term injury, and while Allen and Britton have papered over the cracks magnificently, we are in need of a reliable and fit CM general, that can ping those long and short passes, that open defences, I dream of Bodde returning, but alas it is only a dream, so let's hope that Rodgers can find us the right player, if Josh McEachran is to be that player, then it will take the pressure off Britton and Allen!.....................

    Agustien does that.

Good shout HTR and he should be all but ready to come back into the fray quite soon, and that would allow Joey to stay in the hole behind Gaham as he was outstanding yesterday linking up well with graham and terrorising a mediocre wolves team.
