Tell them £2.5 million + sell on clauses Derek.

If they can offer Taylor good wages; they can afford that.

  5. Do we really need 2m? Why are we so eager to sell when we know it will just go straight to Ashley and not on new players?

We need squad depth. I say keep Routledge. He's probably on low wages anyway.

If we sell the likes of Routledge we will have more money to spend on another attacking player. Barnetta was mentioned.

Does anyone know why the deal with QPR broke down?

Seems like he really liked the club and recently just re-tweeted somethign about Jay Bothroyd wanting QPR to sign him. Surely if they're planning on selling Taarabt to PSG for anything near the reported offer than Routledge would be a decent replacement?

Removing wages for a player that Pardew sees as surplus to requirements and was shipped off to QPR mid season is good business.

Free up wages and also get some additional funds into the club.

Why pay additionally for tea lady you won't use if you have a tea maid next to your desk?

Was on the Swansea board yesterday and seemed if most of them weren't keen on them signing him, despite the fact that one of the right wingers there is Thomas Butler who got nowhere near the Sunderland team around the time they got relegated with 15 and 19 points.

Saw a few of them who thought he'd be good, but he'd be backup there to Nathan Dyer and Scott Sinclair.

Not sure about Dyer but Sinclair is a decent player.

Think Dyer's a similar player to Routledge but has a bit more to his game. Would take him over Routledge, but not for much money.

In an ideal world if we get £2m for Routledge then that could be given to Chelsea for a Sturridge loan fee.

Don't want him to be honest, and a lot of swans fans think the same way, as for butler don't why he is still with us , and dyer was the fans player of the year last season, there is a very good reason for that, you will find out why when he scores the winning goal against you ;)
