Saw this attachment on a thread on Planet Swans. An interesting read http://tbrfootball.com/swansea-get-right-liverpool-keep-going-wrong/?
Good read and the moral of the story is first to have a good chairman and board who has a singular philosophy and sticks to it no matter what. also a good scouting team that knows exactly the type of player he is looking for and withing the budget he is told to stay in, and finally a good manager that fully understands the chairman's philosophy and is fully in tune with him. Mess any one of those 3 points up and you wont be as successful....
I think some commentators have made the point recently that fans of bigger clubs often demand big name signings. It's a huge credit to the fans here that we're not like that and I hope we never are.
Saw Jinks with his grandaughter in Castell Nedd on saturday he was carrying a small plastic fish bowl walking along the road how down to earth is that !
Copy of post on the Loserpool board "Clyne - okay, he does have potential to be very good. Can - he's okay. Nothing overwhelming and isn't played in his correct position anyway Hendo - good solid player, but not outright quality Miler - another good, solid player but not world class. Couts - bit of magic. Reminds of Luis Garcia in the sense he can score any goal but also miss any. He's good. Firminho - early days to be fair Benteke - a good striker but lets see how it works out Sturridge - injury prone but good on his day Gomez - looks a good prospect Ibe - another good prospect Origi - I'm not sure yet That is not a good team by any stretch of the imagination. That team says Swansea City, not Liverpool." I said that we are not that bad
